I agree, three good ones and clever. Beyond my scope to contribute this morning.

Creating a picture like today and yesterday must be very difficult, achieving the pleasing finished article is lots more than geometry.

Sometimes though we might wish we had a bit of time to be bored. \'I should like to have the time\' says Miss Berles, \'but I gotta keep constant watch on these syllables!\' lol.

Blends of catarrh? Sounds like some sort of homemade watercolors. At my job we do not lock our grey men in. They lock their doors from within!

Three good one Michael, I especially like the last one as I have seen that in my working life, they just sit at their desks looking so bored.

thanks for teaching me a new word Michael (colicky),
I found this a revealing and brave write but those first two lines are reassuring, I truly hope all, \'will be all right\', soon

She went to the therapist to discuss her recurring nightmare until.... she realised the letter spacing upon his door was incorrect.... all she could see was the rapist.

Later she had her doubts about allowing a practicing surgeon access to her appendix. Had practice yet made perfect?

Distracted and running late one sunday morning the very reverend Hardy was caught in bed and recited the sermon on the mount.

Yes, I love our language both written and spoken.

I wholly agree with the irks you feel Michael on bad pronunciation - - -there are many versions of numerous words that seem to appear different each week on the radio etc....... hey -ho that is today\'s code for saying it their way eh ?

I could be here as critic,
something parasitic
but last night was paralytic
and now my wrists arthritic
have slowed my brain syphilitic needing a charge electrolytic
or is that too psychoanalytic?
(hic!)

Have you noticed that in the south of the country, over the last couple of decades, the simple word \'no\' has become extended but a taint of Australian accent and now become \'no-ooo\'. It used to be a monosyllable but with the addition of \'ooo\' it has grown another syllable. ...... or is it just me?

Another one which really gets me going is pronouncing garage as garidge - the introduction of the \'d\' is subtle but grrrr

A previous Vicar said \'On no, it\'s not Chewsday, it\'s Toosday\' (for Tuesday\').
Some folk take a mid-word break, saying \'Thirt-teen\' or \'Fort-teen\', with emphasis on the middle \'t\'.
Will Miss Berles allow these things?

Good Sab bath ~ Uncle Mike - Angela here - Thanks for the Pastiche ! Friends of ours have just bought a *Second Home* in the Costwolds can*t wait to see it & stay. Im Olive Skinned & Black Hair (My Papa being Spanish) - BUT - having been born & raised in England ~ I have a *Middle English Class* accent so I have never experienced any Racial Discrimination. Some of the 100% Spanish Nurses in the Hospital do have Spanish Accents like Manuel from Fawlty Towers which differeniates them ! People are singled out for being DIFFERENT ! For US altering Blackpool or Black Pudding or my Beloved *All Blacks* is a *Bridge too far !* Please check our latest FUSION *What are your Christmas Plans ?* and (if you wish) add a Poem !

wait until the Hispanic regions begin their version of \'cancel culture\' self-sanctification, see: at least our vocabulary has dark, tinted, sun-kissed etc
all they got is \'negro\'... \'yikes\', for the poor librarians

PC in of itself is all good, until its being used as a mouthwash to undo all the wrong in peoples mind\'s...

How about we just simplify things, like children (before stubborn pride kicked-in): admit our fault\'s, say our apologies, finding a middle ground to make amends for any and all pain inflicted and then Learn: to not do it again!
maybe then, fellow human beings with darker tints of skin wouldn\'t have their entire value of worth: be reduced to a walking litmus test of other\'s racism levels...

(side note, really like the calm you imbue into your water/paint pictures Michael)

Surely the correct title should be \'pool of mixed race\' - may contain fish (and chips) - definitely contains nuts.

The PC army are as bad as the Health and Safety Army where they insist on putting \"May contain nuts\" on a jar of peanuts!
Mind you the strangest one I have seen is at the Morrisons Fish Counter where there is a label in front of each type of fish showing which fish it is and the price and there in small print below is \"May contain fish\" on of these days I am going to insist on some fish without fish in it and see what happens.

wonderful artwork, I spent a few minutes just engrossed in all its little details, reminiscent of so many little town centres or their equivalent nucleus,
then that last stanza, standalone: one of the best I have ever read on MPS!
I appreciate the idyllic scene depicted in the picture and its purpose as representation of the commonly assumed \'ideal\' fruition of our life\'s efforts,
while simultaneously projecting a semblance of peace - a picture of that perfect average we take for granted, until we lose it all - in search of the better tomorrow our ambition\'s promise...
Genius! \'in my humble opinion\'
