Hi Michael,: Comment re your Comment: I think absolutely you are right in terms of the function of humour to oil and ease sometimes difficult situations. It can be a potent weapon though and will, sometimes innocently, sometimes with a more direct purpose, deflect, detract attention from from the argument, which may be, to use your words, right and just.

I mean - I heard a churchy joke. Two old ladies did not want to continue going to their church, as it had turned very \'charismatic\'. They thought it was some disease they might catch! lol.

Guten Donnerstag Onkel MIKE (a new member is German so Im practising !) Thanks for the geometric sqirrel very twee !
Love the POEM about the fairer sex ! I haven*t been married a year yet but my Shrink (all Poets need ONE) tells me I am less that 1% nearer to Understanding WOMEN ! She tells me that the only MEN who got close to 50% are DEAD & one was 105 ! Being a CHEMIST I know the answer to the Quiz Question ~ What substance has the chemical formula WC ? Answer Tungsten Carbide ! Tungsten is one of the toughest metals known ~ when alloyed with Iron. So W~OMEN is a very Tough Omen ! We all know that ~ but being Men ~ we all give it a try !

Blessings & Prayers to You & Joanne

I like how you\'re developing those small pattern pictures from a few weeks ago into much larger whole images, I\'m thinking if the image is angled and some parts shaded it might give it a 3D or at least \'in motion\' feel, or whatever your wonderfully creative mind comes-up with as the next step in the evolution of these pattern composed pictures (if that makes any sense), lol
eventually would be great to show the step by step evolution in one frame: I imagine it would be an immensely inspirational work of Art to look upon and contemplate;
forgive me - by now I hope you are accustomed to my unfiltered scribbles - I\'m simply trying to say: \'I liked your picture, Sir\' lol

what a seamless flow of remembrance, exquisitely depicting a treasured \'first\' inside a memory of everyday occurrence, thereby articulating the wonder: in each moment spent within love\'s embrace,
a beautiful read and picture Michael,
also appreciated your correlative use of nature in first stanza and love in second - both stand alone, yet innately complimentary: as if saying \'it\'s only natural to love\' - without so much as a hint, wonderful poetry

Before i start to read, I have to compliment you on a cracking picture today M.E. The reflections are just fine mate and absolutely necessary. Next pic of a naked lady rising out of water please (in same style) and in the watery reflections add a ripple to a nipple.

Great poetry with a sombre sadness contained.

ANGELA here - Thnaks for the PICASSO reminds me of Darth Vadar who sadly died this week - I was told He was Immortal !
MLK said he wanted his Children to be judged NOT to be judged by the COLOUR of their skin but by the strength of their CHARACTER ! Because my DAD is from Southern Spain - my skin is OLIVE - fortunately Brian likes Olives. Brian is PINK ~ all over ! BUT is classified as WHITE ! He can be BLUE with cold - GREEN with envy - PURPLE with rage etc but he*s still classified as white. One advantage of being my colour - I dont have waste time SUNBATHING ! Love the POEM ~ please check ours - Thanks

L. B. Mek said:

\'colour(ed)\' as a stand alone word is not offensive my sharp witted friend, but let us tiptoe the blurred lines of humour with one eye on \'context\',
\'pronouns\' are symbolic of choice verbiage, important as a gauge of progression for those who feel maligned and marginalised within our society,
Racism fuelling omission by skin \'colour\' - is an integral subject that underlines \'the inhumane\' within our collective history\'s,
but \'colour\' in context to those who were subjected to 400 years of slavery is a subject - I urge, be handled with a little consideration to the innately inflammatory reactions it will inevitably \'resurface\', seeing how this Summer\'s outcry\'s of popularised injustice\'s have barely been stifled,
unless that is the sole point of making that \'innocent quip\' - to begin with...
ah life - let us ever laugh and welcome the cocoon of selective ignorance, so we can at least brew our beloved cup of foreign Tea in some semblance of peace, lol
