POEM FOR A WINTER\'S NIGHT
Michael Edwards said:
This picture is a new album cover of a band called Glass Tiger.
Although not known here in the UK, Glass Tiger made their name in the 80s and still remain very popular in America and their home country, Canada. They have worked with Rod Stewart who has also recorded some of their songs and they are an award winning group.
I\'ve been working with them over the last three months and the image featured on the cover was chosen from several concepts which I developed from their fairly tight brief. I also did another painting for the back of the album.
This year they had all their gigs cancelled and were looking for something to do and hit on the idea of a Christmas album. They have contributions to their album from an orchestra here in the UK, a singer in Italy, an opera singer in LA and for their cover from me here in middle England. We have all done short interview videos which they are putting together into a promo video which I hope they will be putting on YouTube so I wait to see.
It\'s been a great experience working with them but whether it leads to any others - well who knows.
The album has just been released and if you google \'Glass Tiger, Songs For A Winter\'s Night\' you\'ll get many hits featuring the cover.

She stood on the bridge at midnight
looking awful and feeling woosey
a tramp shuffled by and took her home
well at this hour you can\'t be choosey
Mary had a poetic muse
who gave her rhymes uncanny
but there was, she found
a price to pay
as he slipped inside her .........
On sunday rhymes are hard to find
i find my mind goes blank
with so much time upon ones hands
might as well just have a ........
I couldn\'t come up with anything along the lines of your superb piece today so i offer you three poetic scribbles instead.

Good write M.
It will be the last day of our life if there is a fire. We\'ll never get out. The Fire Door has to be kept closed at all times. Doh!
I smashed a bus window. It said \'In case of fire, break window\'. I told them \'Well, it\'s \"just in case\" there is a fire on the bus. Best smash the window to be on the safe side! Make sense to me. lol.

When old age creeps up on us, inevitably
and those thundering steps - to salvage
what pride we have left
become a nightly routine,
I\'ll remember your last line:
\'thank goodness for the ebbing tide\'...
lol, good write Michael, those menacing twisters in your picture are a fitting image of the pressure forces depicted in your write
