ANGELA HERE - THANKS FAY for Poetic excellence in Form & Function ! Two Octains & a Coublet all in perfect metre & rhyming doublets - perfection. Such perfection in penning is warranted by the Subject - A Kestrel in flight - a beauty to behold. It gives us a glimpse of the interplay of the intricate Food Chains & Food Webs that function in the Biosphere ! Thanks for sharing - love the photo !

Nice one. These birds are really exciting to watch. I saw one being hassled away by a swarm of sparrows a few years ago.... another (falcon i think) fly at low level coming the other way, above the correct lane too lol, as i was driving.... momentarily it looked me straight in the eye. They of course have a far more enhanced eyesight than us mere humans.
I wish i could fly.
Exhilarating read.

So much to read into this fine piece as it paints upon the easel of my mind. The perpetual romance of a train in the distance takes ones mind on a journey to where it will lean as our faith tells us to live life and accept all which arrives at our station in life. Yet with fences down those glory days light our pleasure and regret..... a story of life for a lone romantic poet... quite beautiful..... and easily relatable,

I don\'t think it\'s an exaggeration to say the Thatcher\'s era effectively killed off an entire self contained eco system for millions, a way of life that had sustained thousands of ancestral family lineages for centuries - ended abruptly in a matter of years, without any effort made to prepare those devastated communities,
still - slowly but surely they have overcome, while keeping alive the rich legacy of their history, with each shared story and empathetically dedicated writes like the one you have shared with us today Fay

any mining occupation - or recovery of metals from their Ores was dirty & backbreaking ! In the Lancashire Mills - as in Cornish Mines - wherever there is a mixure of Virile Lads & Lasses in the Workplace there will always be sexual banter ! Great Poem in a Great Shape - Thanks for sharing !

the ageless representation of Moon and Sun as lover\'s kept apart, but allowed to linger in the brilliance of their untameable passion\'s hue of mirroring twilights, within those daily wonder\'s we named: dawn and dusk, is captured so elegantly in your write,
another one of your dreamy portraits of nature\'s gifts, we all take for granted at times

This has a special place in my heart ..
a perfectly poemed depiction of life down, in and around mines .. particularly as far as I am concerned, the old Cornish tin mines, now long redundant ...

My great Grandfather was a Captain of a Kernow tin mine for many years ... funny thing was, as a child I always thought he was a sea captain ....
