Try as we may

Much appreciate your quote and your post

Great the way out was found, Fay. And should perchance it happen again, the reassurance of a map out should make the way easier.
Neat little job means it took much effort?

Your beautiful poem reminded me of the times as a kid, standing beside the farmer milking his cow and him letting me drink some of the still warm milk. Beautiful choice of words, as usual!

(a wonderful read, dear Fay
and thanks for inspiring my little scribbled reply)
that illusive art of a subtle life: where self-worth\'s meaning
is imbued, in each completion
of incremental
self-set - itinerary ordered chores,
as our dream\'s: pathway
to those patiently actualised lofty goals..

Beautiful and such descriptive words Fay, I was watching the cows and the maidens as your words took me there. This one must go into my favourites.

Beautiful depiction of a beautiful part of the UK. We used to get down to St Ives every year - till lockdown etc. I love your opening lines: \'Shot through with wild beauty
this almost-island is so hard to leave.\' You echo how a traveller feels after visiting this idyllic spot. Lovely poem, Fay.

I live in Australia which can be quite fanatical about the quality of its beaches. From London, either as a kid or my stay later, the quality of the beaches there ain’t great. A visit to the West Country (Cornwall, Devon) came therefore as something of a revelation.
Anything you can do Fay (Sorry – you’ve done it) to promote the quality of your beaches has to be a worthwhile project.

a timely dedication, championing acute brevity dear Fay..
sad how society is marginalising mother\'s day and father\'s importance more and more, while continually screaming for more family unity and integrity, as the answer to our problems..

\'In a tremulous breeze chimera quivers
And metallic poles shudder with myriads
Of different tones from hung wind-chimes.\'
yet another beautifully worded poem dear Fay,
the literary - literal, flurry
of Spring\'s humming murmur celebrating
its imminent budding
captured so poetically acutely..
in my humble opinion

Loving the breezy like style here Fay, as I was reading, I really felt that I was enraptured in the outdoors; hearing those chimes.

Bravo, and I hope all is well.

A well engineered set of chimes does lend something almost magical in the right position. Did have such a set once; I\'m afraid no more. There\'s no \'right position\' now. Your well engineered poem must be the substitute, Fay.
