And thus the very soul was torn from life. Open always but can we go too far? No more the pleasure of achieving when the achieving is done by robots.

Well I think politics will get in the way of your predictions. There will be more and more poorer people who have no employment thanks to technology thereby placing a burden upon the nations taxes. A revolution of sorts would be probable especially when we consider global warming and the mass exodus from the already poorer nations into our western ecomonies.

Great bit of science fantasy though and i can definitely see the advantages a lot of your predictions provide.

What will we lose though?

ANGELA HERE (7pm Saturday - Another great day SAILING !) For those of US under 40 we regard the progress of ROBOTS from Mnaufacturing Industry to the HOME & the MARKET PLACE as inevitable and not a MICROCHIP too far ! It is scary and Exhibitions - where ROBOTS are in action - are very scary to the 70*. On said *In a shop I want to be served by a HUMAN & not a mechanical MONKEY* When TRUEMAN pressed a button (to release the ATOM BOMB in 1945) it was the end of CIVILISATION as we knew it ! Since the Milennium the World has gone Mad ! Angela & I (DV) have another 50 or more years to cope with very very rapid Change ! Please pray for us and any Family God may bless us with !

Blessings to You & Your Candid Cur

A lot of this is scary. We may say \'Surely not?\' Or would have said it years ago (in 1066 I said it. lol).
God help us that we don\'t press some wrong button(s) or something, or get into ghastly mutations.
Yet I suppose more things are needed in this, a more technological age.
We\'ve gone mad though in places - a slow lane on a pavement has opened, for mobile phone users. They won\'t even have to look where they are going, until they get knocked over crossing the road! Doh!

BORROWING & LENDING ๐Ÿงก A SONNET ๐Ÿ’™

This is very true. We need to stop being so selfish. Of course we must always be wise in who we lend our stuff to. Still, if we have something, and we see others in need, then we should share. I like this piece.

Worth it!
Thanks!

Maybe I need something from this and I got it when I read it...but just not conscious or not aware of what it is.

Sadly neighbourliness is a dissappearing virtue although it does still exist in smaller communities.

Yes borrowing and lending in days gone by seemed a neighbourly custom which in these times would mean a chat with people who although living nearby are hardly ever in contact - perhaps in small villages folk are still molded to family life and can trust their closest of neighbours but in cities it is understandable if this habit has almost died. Good points raised however in this verse Brian.

A fine write B&A. Oohh yes, I remember people borrowing in days of 1066. I thought that was YOU in the 1920\'s?! heehee.
Ken Dodd probably said he borrowed the money - I must not get myself started on that again!
He\'s laughing up his sleeve for likes of people including you good people, ya know, you two, who pay taxes!

Wise words. It took me a while to learn not to lend things, initially records which i never saw again, or later money which never came back. I guess i must have been a \'soft touch\'.

I agree that it appears families and neighbors were more established in years passed than we arae now which allowed then to be so much more trustworthy of one another. Nowadays families are spread all over the globe (some even as far as NZ) so quite a different world eh?

Some people can\'t afford a hedge nor the garden which goes with it let alone the trimmer. TBH my garden tools do not get lent out. I would only do that if the borrower lodged with me the cash needed to replace the item beforehand which of course they never would do.

Thanks for writing and sharing about it.

I do remember probably like some years ago when I joined this social group meet up with a regular talk. Then, when it comes to self-introduction, I talked about myself in a way that shows myself...as a nature lover and one man there said that it\'s an admirable thing.
It\'s been that way for me since I was young, like between colours and in video games (between those like fire and earth and all)...I tend to go towards green, grass, the forest.
Somehow, maybe because it is peaceful...I became so connected that I myself became someone who was peaceful and not active nor aggressive.

These are what are (or were) my favourites which I can remember right now:

A fine write B&A. Nearest woodlands to us is about 15 mins walk away. We are not out in the sticks, though on the borders of our area there are various semi-rural things, lakes, wooded areas, river, nature reserves, etc.

Fay Slimm. said:

You have outlined the formula for attaining happiness and that is in being content with the moment - -- we can all work to improve conditions for more to attain the happy state but being happy within ourselves is the very first step to take -- a fine goal to aim for and to achieve and thank you dear duo for the needed reminder.

Me again! It\'s no excuse - you (and all of us) have to pay our taxes. That pic in the clip might make some folk furious, though some will laugh with him, for supposedly having beaten the \'system\'. Fido\'s mad (angry) too, but he always is barking mad!

You started me off singing \'Love and marriage\', then summat about a horse and carriage going together!

Wow what a lovely piece of writing. The love you hold for Brian shines out you know. Funny isn\'t it how a choice of words or phrasing can reveal the emotion inside us.

Memories of barefoot days came back to me, it\'s been a long long time since then - unless there\'s a carpet beneath my feet.

Truly an enjoyable read.

HOLA ANGELITA AMORADO MIA ~ Gracias por publices esta Poema en MPS. A me gusta la comparade de Tu Vida y la Cascada de Lodore muy apto ! I liked this poem the first time you showed it to me ~ the analagy is very apt to my life also. When Andrew Motion (UK Poet Laureate) wrote his Wedding Tribute for Charles & Camilla he likened their relationship to a *Blocked up Stream* which was now freeing itself to flow freely. Another apt analogy !

Yep, me life is like a waterfall, in that Fido drowns anything \'ardourous\' (is that a word?) or \'swoonerous\' (and is that a word?)!
Or rather, he chucks buckets of cold water on me, if I get a bit \'hot\'.
Do shut up sometimes, Fido! lol. I shall never leave this sheltered life with you around. heehee.
