CHRISTMAS PRESENTS ~ CHRISTMAS SPENDING ~ SIX RHYMING QUATRAINS !
L. B. Mek said:

yikes, way too early for me, presents are remembered in those moments where December swings its calendar from 20th to far too late
(silly admittedly, but it does give me an ounce of credibility when commiserating loved one\'s for the tenth year in a row, as they are forced to accept socks and gift cards as viable valuation\'s for my levels of thoughtfulness)...
lol, good read

\'All contributions gratefully received\' said the Vicar, as they passed round the hat a second time. This actually hapened in an eccentric church! And it was a literal hat. Doh!
You mentioned the Ch... word already. You will get shot by some folk. lol. Well, I mentioned it in June when Christmas Catalogue arrived through the door!

A CURRY A WEEK ~ SAVES LIVES ! ~ TEN RHYMING DOUBLETS !
Goldfinch60 said:

Unsurprisingly I too enjoy, and make, curries. Had a nice surprise the other week, a friend of mine asked me to join him for a curry as his new lady friend let him down, had a good evening in his local Indian restaurant, as I was driving did not have any alcohol but after the bill was paid the manager gave us a brandy each, my friend was a regular there and the manager always appreciated him going there.

Gone are the days of real bum burner curries for me. It did seem to burn coming out the other end of me too... took the glace off the toilet pan... we had to place barbed wire around the toilet seat in case anyone fell in.
Yes i couldn\'t face a phall curry, i\'ve tried most of the variations over the years and now a chicken biryani in a good restaurant is my pleasure along with a peshwari naan.... mind you I havent been near a restaurant since my recent digestive problems.

Enjoyed reading your light hearted and funny piece today.

At least Brian and Angela you were able to get married. Just think of Princess Beatrice and her wedding a couple of months.

God has kept you both safe and healthy during this virus.

May he continue to do so.

Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.

Me and the missus kept one job and lost one, but feel beyond blessed to have what we have... a little house and a back yard and a front porch with a swing. So many have an apartment full of family, with nary a balcony or stoop, and our city is packed with rough sleepers because the weather is fair in winter and the city is relatively accepting. Thank you silly pair for sharing your fortune and joy as best you can. I try to give something every day. It\'s the best part of having, the giving.
