Some great advice from somebody who (it seems) knows!
Adrianna, I don\'t know if this is biographical, but no matter, your writing is good, raw, to the point. And I do love that last line!

The Honey Moon Phase

Adrianna, love your poem overall, like the wording, the rhyming, the structure and the subject matter....until the last word on the last line. I know it rhymes, but to finish such a beautiful poem with that kind of word, somehow does not feel right.

This Love
MendedFences27 said:
I believe Fred said it best, :You tell it like it is.\" Some of us wander through many doors, before finding the prize. Sort of like Monty Hall used to say, \"Will it be Door #1, 2 or 3?\" Love is a fickle penny, you never know where you will find it. Your poem describes a kind of love we all seek, a shared love, one of trust and understanding. I\'ve often described it as a love that requires no forgiveness. First time I\'ve read your stuff, will return for more. - Phil A.

Adrianna, your great little poem just proved that we don\'t have to be rich and famous to be happy!

Butterflies
FredPeyer said:
Adrianna, the butterflies will come again! I promise! Don\'t forget, they need a rest too.
You know, the beginning of a relationship is the most incredible, most amazing thing in the world. It is a real roller-coaster, one day you are in the clouds, the next day you feel like standing in pouring rain. You are not yet sure about your feelings, and you are not yet sure about the other person\'s feelings, so just step back, and let it happen to you! Remember that old song: Que sera , sera! Whatever will be, will be. And in Hawaii we have a saying: If can, can, if no can, no can!
Wish you a beautiful week!!!!

Frank Sinatra

Adrianna, I like how you lead into the poem with Frank Sinatra. It sets the tone right away. First dates can be beautiful (or a disaster). Also like the line where you compare the \'us\' to the \'you and I\', it is a distinction many people might not even realize.
Very good poem, I like it a lot.

Adrianna, nice poem, you tell it how it is! Love the last line! No matter what happens to us, there will be a time when that door needs to be open again.

What happened to your happiness from the last poem, Adrianna?
Maybe you should look at the world through one of your fuzzy socks!
I guess the love you have to find yourself.

Coffee and cigarettes
Micalina said:
I gave up smoking when I was 28 years olds now I am 68 going on 69. I used to smoke three packs of cigarettes a day. It is addictive they say more than any other drug. But I threw the cigarettes away and went cold turkey. It took a whole year to get it out of my system. I even had a dream about smoking and woke up in a deep sweat when I quit. You can do it. I did at a younger age. You will feel better after you do. Also think of all the money that you will save. I understand that cigarettes are expensive now. I will post a poem another day about my quitting. It is actually like a rap song. Good luck but I know you can do it.
