Congratulations! Guess in tournaments they don\'t engage in \"poison,\" do they? I always hated that part when the seeming winner returned as \"poison\" to destroy the hopes of the rest. Beautiful and charmingly rendered with excellent imagery and a sweet poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

In 63 I became a fan of the Beatles right on to this very day. Love 60s Music and the fashion was the best. You had: The Stones , Brigitte Bardot, The Who, Brigitte Bardot, Hollies, Kinks, Brigitte Bardot, Love Affair, Beach Boys and Brigitte Bardot. Fine Poem.

The Sixties, Was I There.
arqios said:

I was there as well, a much younger me and most of my impressions are ones that I\'ve adapted from cousins and rellies a bit older than myself, by immersion and osmosis and permeation. I guess these days they would say it was the coding part of my programming, or even a uniquely individual Jungian collective consciousness. Perhaps... good stuff Andy. The music was awesome and so was the sci-fi and literature.

Being about the same age this is very identifiable and I was there too. Loved it and a fave for the clever use of tunes and names in this word of nostalgia Andy

Old Fashioned Respect.

My Father\'s Funeral - Being a D Day and Korea War Veteran - His Coffin was draped in The Union Flag and only one person removed their Cap when we passed. A fine Poem.

Old Fashioned Respect.
orchidee said:

Sometimes respect is shown, as often as a \'proper\' comedy show on TV - hardly ever!
I might try disrespect - not hold a door open for someone. I didn\'t even get a grunt in response lately, and more than once. Let \'em get on with it - struggle with pushchairs, shopping, etc. That\'ll teach \'em!

sorenbarrett said:

Much lacking not just for funerals but in life in general but as they say, respect is earned and maybe with the way people are there is not much earning going on. Respect is also taught and maybe not many parents are setting a good example in this area. A most needed poem Andy and well said.
