The Lost Idea.

Very, very true. Happens all the time. I also have stacks of unfinished poems. one\'s that were started and then drifted to something else entirely. Sometimes I will take bits and pieces of those unfinished poems and build a new poem from them.
I think we can all appreciate your poem for having been there. Nice words Andy. - Phil A.

(there is a lost drawer
full of inspiration\'s, dust
waiting to be found
and lost, again..
someday, I will find it
and go crazy
trying to record it all
before
I lose it, again...
someday!)
lol
just so relatable, Andy
thanks for sharing, dear Poet

Sometimes I\'ve forgotten the words completely, if I\'ve not written them down soon after they have come to mind.
Good, they say - will save you singing again! lol.

I\'m in a similar situation - was it that poem I was going to write yesterday? But now it\'s today. Shall I write it tomorrow?!
What day is it? What year is it? What planet am I on? I\'m a confused laddie. lol.
What\'s that ditty?: \'Tomorrow is......\'

LOL Such a familiar thought. I\'d often end up writing something completely different from my original intention just as you describe.

What a wonderful tribute to a man who truly affected your life, and probably never knew it. Thankfully those people are out there, never knowing how many lives they\'ve touched with kindness and understanding, but always remembered. Lovely write dear friend.

A fine write Gold.
In one job, we were OK until a new manageress came along. Then it went downhill. Your poem is probably all the things she is NOT.
Some nearly went on strike - not paid properly - but were only a smallish Company. She wouldn\'t have cared. She would not even leave the building for a Fire Practice. We don\'t care if she had burnt up! That\'s how it was.

simply beautiful!
the lyrics of your song choice
serenades
the poetry of your words..
this theme reminds me of phil collins
and \'another day in paradise\'
especially your poetry\'s
defiant, last line
indeed, we must be grateful
for the small wonder\'s
that accumulate to make up
the smiles in our lives..
thanks Andy!
a poignant and reassuring message

Dad Dancing.
Bella Shepard said:

You just hit on something dear to my heart. I hear the music and I can\'t help but move. I rarely get to go dancing anymore, but nothing stops me from dancing, by myself, in my living room, to music of the sixties. Only problem is that hips and knees have aged, where the brain has not followed. Thank you for this little trip down memory lane, a great write!

Laughter And Sleep.
L. B. Mek said:

that\'s why insomnia
is such an evil, hindrance
to our whole wellness
and sleeping pills, are such a dangerous slippery-slope
to addiction\'s or unhealthy over reliance\'s, doors..
but I have found powernaps
are a great way to get your accumulative sleep..
as for laughter
get it wherever you can
laugh till you can\'t breathe and be grateful
for each chuckle..
(such a great read, Andy
and so, so
timely and relevant)
thank you!
