But Is It Poetry?
Accidental Poet said:

A poet is the author of the poetry, as the appreciative viewer is also a poet because of the effect it had upon them. Hence the saying, \"It takes one to know one\". Well written and thought provoking Andy. ; )

I’ve seen a blank canvas in a recognized gallery, displayed as art, so who shall claim that a Scribble is not poetry, btw - this is poetry

Yes, Andy. Just because I prefer rhyme and the rest doesn\'t mean I don\'t enjoy unstructured stuff (although no rhymes present doesn\'t mean it doesn\'t have any structure or cohesion). Whether I enjoy depends on the skill of the writer and the content - all very subjective judgments.

So true, the average person has no interest beyond the obvious in art or poetry. Indeed very few seem to appreciate poetry. Most seem to expect rhyme.... and say it cant be poetry if it doesn\'t rhyme.

I think the most of us on mps are far broader minded than that

I found your first two lines
such an enticing start, wonderfully worded Andy
and yep: I do agree
baby steps
from first shuffled breath, till our last laboured step
is our only way, to experience the \'Now\'
in that blink of Time, between
our wistful yesterdays and wishful tomorrow\'s...

Yes - I can relate to that, Andy. It is the way my life transpired, without knowing where ultimately any of the steps would lead. The final result so far? OK by me.
