\'When I sat by her side

And the Light of her world
Left her body,

heart wrenchingly relatable, I have read your words more than 3 times now, each time I paused for a few minutes before restarting...
I shall remember the Joyce you introduced to me with your kind words, as I toast all the good still remaining in our lives...
let your inked words soak-up all that pain you bare so bravely,
a wonderful dedication Andy and a brilliant read!

I do not think I will be exaggerating, if I say that the unity of sorrowfulness and the unshakable belief in these lines, if it is truly felt and understood, will be able to shake Heaven and Earth.

Meanwhile - a fabulous year for some - no singing allowed in some places. Hooray, they say, we won\'t hear ya! Doh!

Well, what a year 2020 has thrown at you Goldfinch. Along with your sad loss you\'ve had to put up with such restrictions on social contact which can\'t have been easy for you are an outgoing soul. You were establishing yourself in croquet circles till pandemic put the brakes on that. Yes, it will re-start I\'m sure, meanwhile - music, the river, people watching poetry, appreciation of bad drivers, and what else.... oh yes, you no longer have to worry about brexit and those remoaners.... a weight lifted from us all.
Wishing you a safe and healthy new year and plenty more to follow.

Yes, life goes on, and this is a super realisation of enjoying other peoples pleasure. I too am enjoying thoughts of my distant grandchildren out there playing in the snow. I know their dad will be building a snowman with them.

This poem shows your heartfelt love of life Goldfinch.... long may that light twinkle in you.

In my \'meanwhile\' (dafter) times: \'Thinking? Oooh, it can be dangerous\'. Well, it was when I had a thought in 1066. lol.
Did we turn up for the Dedication of Westminster Abbey, in December 1065? Did I sing a solo, and they all ran away?
