Great writing, Andy! I am so thankful for that \'screen\'. Without it I wouldn\'t have seen my grandkids for over a year. We don\'t talk for hours, they some of them have an attention span of about three minutes. But they always want to hear a \'story\' which I have to make up as I go along. Thanks for this poem.

Beautiful metaphor, Andy. We are unique, each of us, but also belong to humanity with all its beauty and sorrow. Well written!

Your analogy of a single flake (each flake being truly unique) to individualism is unparalleled, and more when so poetically stated

but my friend, you\'ve also seen the majesty of that white carpet, those individual flakes paint the earth with, when they truly choose
\'to join together\': as equals...
(such, be
life\'s unrequited bane of commonality
within Nature\'s: cyclical, cynicism of duality
while all existence is tethered
a mere coin flip\'s - breadth
to empathy\'s mercy...)
a wonderful read Andy,
thanks for inspiring my little reply

\'Those wonderful times of the past
When the three of us
Were together.
But we laugh as well,
The humour in our lives
Always to the fore.
There are many miles between us
But that distance means nothing
As we sit by each other\'...
oh my friend what warmth you imbue into mere words,
a great read Andy

No blame (your comment) accrues with you here Andy – only the stultifying and potentially dangerous effect crowds can (not necessarily will) have. Would you accept my judgement of this as a parable, succinct and nicely polished?
Thanks also for the music.

L. B. Mek said:

forgive me Andy, I\'m not the biggest cricket fan, but your write still took me back - in-time...
as I used to work at Lord\'s and Twickenham in my adventurous teens, and yes I ticked-off Wembley as well but try as I might Wimbledon - actually had standard\'s to uphold,
so my grand-slam stadia dreams
dissipated in straight sets, before
I got anywhere near centre court... lol
