Solace of Time.
dusk arising said:

Does anybody really know what time it is if we throw away our clocks and think in terms of our life\'s span. For time has a kindness and a cruelty and we are blind to it.

Excellent write Andy. I prefer to think of time as a friend. ; )

While a boy, time was deceptive
Some days ran too slow
Then a few years sneak by
Far too fast they’d go

GOOD MONDAY - UNCLE ANDY ! Your Music *Cool Jazz* and your elegant ODE about being in sync withTIME have set an excellent mood for a Warm & Sunny NEW DAY - Amen. Now that we are settled to out New Home - and with SMOKEY we can feel the vibes of TIME and *Of the Street where we LIVE*. We agree as your Poem suggests - there is a *Rhythm of Life* in every situation & circumstance - which if we find it and harmonise is a great blessing. Singing in a CHOIR (as you so often mention) or playing in a BAND teaches us a lot about lifes harmonies ! We need to be in Tune - in Key in Chord & in Rhythm to be in perfect HARMONY. Brian & I love Welsh Male Voice Acapello Choral singing for all those reasons. Our POEM today is about UNCERTAINTY - but you have lifted us to a Higher Plane - CARPE DIEM !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

You enjoying yourself these days? Time going quickly while enjoying yourself, as they say?!
Did time pass quickly in 1066?

What an amazing day to be whacking someone elses balls with a mallet!

I can see you are growing old disgracefully. You bloody doddery hooligans are giving us pensioners a bad name.
Whatever happened to the peaceful coffee mornings writing ditties for those strangers in the cafe? You\'ll be getting up early to daub the Evesham walls with croquet clan graffitti if you carry on at this rate. The mallett boys rool ok!

Life is there to be lived for those who appreciate the beauty that is in the life around them. Accepting what the fine weather brings to our door upon an unexpected breeze is accepting a gift from life itself.

Bon Apres Midi Mon Oncle Andy. Merci pour La Musique eclectique ! Piano Accordians always evoke France for me ! It is a Yesterdays Instrument ! WE used to have some virtuosos in Liverpool who played for the Beach Missions in the 1980s. Now replaced by electronic keyboards ~ poor substitute ! Thanks for the memory ! Yes there is an instinctive share & care movement throughout the UK. Angela has a Plastic Box with ANGEL on it (Her name is the Spanish an ANGEL ) she is a good Confectioner and her BOX is always returned with a *Quid pro Quo* ! My Grandma tells me it was like that in WW2 ~ OK Let us hope & pray it will continue ! Our Poem today is about KIDS choosing more *Caring Professions* because of COVID ! As a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry I do visit Comprehensive Schools to talk about Careers in Science & Medicine. I always stress it has to begin EARLY with good grades in Maths & Science & Computing @ GCSE and Science & Maths @ A Level etc. There is no gain ~ without Intellectual Pain !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

Well, that\'s the sort of thing of real Christianity - love in action - showing it to \'the least one of Jesus brethren\', as He says and commends. Such people are sheep, not goats. Baaaa!
A church supports a Drop-in Centre for the homeless. I\'ve been buying goods sometimes, and putting it in the box in some shops.
Difficult to give online to some churches - they want regular donations only. Getting greedy? The y are seeking regular income I suppose.

Wonderous words Goldfinch. The Rumi piece you quote has been one of my fav\'s for a long time and is on my profile page here.

I think the message is unconditional love from Rumi. Let us put differences away and rejoice in our humanity.

Like love. It comes and gets you when you\'re not looking..... and look where that gets you.

Some people have a faith in a traditional deity instilled in them and everything in their life hangs upon that.
Some are positive minded and allow the stars to show them that in the way of things they are quite insignificant. The stars then become witness to the power of positive thinking.
The really clever ones, whilst acknowledging both of the above, have the capability of turning what others see as a negative, into a bright shining positive.

And the stars look down.
