Punctuality Spurned.

I feel for you sir... nothing quite so frustrating as waiting for someone who is late.. except for maybe when you just know they are gonna be late... Your concluding two lines are fantastic and certainly resonate ..... Neville

A good write Gold. I suppose there is lonely in this. But it\'s also very annoying. We have taken the time to be \'on time\', only to have others bumbling about and being late.
Or they are there, but mess about in the background before calling you for your appointment.
Or worse, no-one telling you anything as to why there is a delay.

I\'d never heard this before. It certainly reminded me of my fathers ever diminishing collection of brittle 78\'s.
Nowadays the nearest i get is watching recordings of Foggy, Compo and Clegg getting up to their antics in \'Last of the summer wine\' of which i have become quite a fan.

As we age and wisdom plays a sweeter tune, the word \'love\' expands to encompass so much more than we ever imagined. Love teaches love.

I don\'t agree with any spooky or \'magnetic\' influences, that the moon may have on us. But maybe it\'s some picture of how life is, sometimes anyway, as it \'waxes and wanes\' as a hymn says.
It goes in a cycle - smaller, gradually to a new moon (shown as black dot in diaries, etc), then enlarges to full moon (shown as white circle), and so on again and again.

Where Are You God?
Suresh said:

your pain, just like \'dusk arising\' and mine in case of my daughter, are all very personal.
I have offered mine for my daughters well being, but there are no takers.
I have challenged HIM to a game of chance, but all I can hear is HIS thunderous laughter
And then I realize is unfair of me to additionally burden HIM with my pain as well, and so I must silently go it alone.

And so my friend, I wish that you and all her loved ones may find the strength to comfort her and that a cure may be found soon to cure her.

Thanks for caring & sharing Uncle ANDY ~ We pray for you and Your Beloved Joyce every Day that you will both have PEACE of MIND. When I face similar situations with older freinds of my Parents who were one Stalwarts for the Lord ~ Teachers ~ Pastors ~ Missionaries etc ~ But now unable to comprehend and unable to Pary ~ but in a Paradoxical Way ~ LOVE TO BE PRAYED WITH & FOR ~ Amen. Joyce is still the Lovely & Loving Girl you married and GOD does not change and our Faith in Him should never waver. As CHRISTIANS we all have our Cross to BEAR bu yours (and Joyce\'s) is a particularly difficult one 24/7. As I have said before the Agony & Ecstasy in your POEMS gives Angela & I the Courage and Spiritual Strength to face together~ with GOD ~ whatever fate might throw at us ~ todays Poem will help us when We too face lifes tempests.
Every Blessing & Love to you both
Thank you for being you & baring & sharing your heart !

Super comment from Tepo - I find it so hard to imagine the despair and anguish in your circumstances for someone who believes - a real test to the faith.

If this helps at all, the Psalmists also have rants at God, of sorts, if contained within certain language. They are not all praisey Psalms.
Somehow they (David did not write ALL the Psalms) find a way through, even in Old Testament days. It\'s said we have much more in New Testament days
Of course it\'s OK to believe, for who seem to \'have it all together\', no suffering, etc.

This is terrible for you. An awful cry out of anger and disappointment.

Years ago i found myself doing a similar thing for my beautiful daughter who was born severely mentally handicapped and autistic. My rant was heartfelt and my faith in a benevolent god died.

Nowadays i hold a spiritual faith similar to your own.
More and more are coming to realise that the god of christianity is not the nice guy we were taught about and the church itself is a questionable establishment.

Heartfelt sympathy for you in this painful part of your life Goldfinch.

Suresh said:

I so often reminise about my days at Dacorum College, in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, and the cottage I rented in the village of Bovingdon, for that period.
I love global cuisine - from Japan to Hawaii, and I love to cook, but that\'s a tentacle for another story.
I can still smell what I often had with Mrs. Sharpe, my landlady - the main house was just across the garden.
Bacon cooked in lard, and then fried toast, and who can forget the English sausage (still love it).
Somehow don\'t remember the black pudding though.
Then on my million trips to London, always enjoyed the English sausage at the intercontinental, at Hyde Park.
Thnx for taking me there.

WOW UNCLE ANDY ~ Highbrow today WAGNER & The VALKARIES ~ awesome ! Loved it especially Den Grossen Frauen ! Im back from teh Field Trip ! We did have BLACK PUDDING with Full English @ the Hostel so there is a GOD. Loved the Poem its not the abundance of the things we have that makes us satisfied it is the ONE thing that is missing (in this case BP) that makes us SAD. That is a Principle in so many walks of life ~ and even to my mind there is a sense of \"incompletness\" in the 21st C ~ English Mustard ~ HP Sauce ~ Lump Sugar ~ Porrige ~ Leaf Tea ~ Suet Puddings ~ Thick Toast ~ Full Cream Milk & Tangerines that peel easily and taste sweet & Stoneless Dates in long thin Boxes @ Christmas. At 35 I must be getting middle-aged and nostalgic for the 20th C ! When I moved in Ultra Evangelical Circles (Open Bretheren) many of the Elders would not eat BLACK PUDDING because it contained BLOOD (Acts 15 v 29) !
Thanks for your POST it stirred memories of BP Butties in Liverpool !
Blessings & much JOY to You and JOYCE
