If Our Dreams Became as One

Distance and time

Will leave most hearts cold

But a special love it is

When it grows to be this old

This stanza is a poem all by itself. You surely have the gift of rhyme and of having one of the truest poetic hearts I\'ve ever had the pleasure to know and to read. 🌹

Distance makes the heart grow fonder not only in geography but time. Soft memories that screen out reality are left as keepsakes that could never be.

For Lack There Of

A beautiful thought yet it seems so far away. I have written on this several times and it seems that although we pride ourselves on our technological progress we have never had a social revolution to take us out of a world of hate, anger, and war. Well written with good meter and rhyme.

Well put. There are so many in this world, everything is subject to change. Great observation and so well worded.

Excellent! I love to just visit that place, and embrace the silence at times. To pray, to listen, or just let my heart breathe.

A deep concept that merits more thought than a short few lines. \"from one concept to another\" here lies the depth of many deep seas where life began and still does in the sea of the mind.

I never thought about how metaphor and change are related. That’s neat!

This piece hit me from the beginning when the Name Weiss was mentioned it matched my family on my mother\'s side that came from
Switzerland. As for playing I took violin, piano, learned the harmonica and tried the accordion but never fully mastered any. I tried the guitar but was too lazy to learn, besides I found that it hurt my fingers. But through it all I have learned to read and write music and have a deep appreciation for music of all types. A most lovely write with a bit of sadness at the end. Loved it.

Music gives words another string,
My wife tells me Michael Jackson couldn\'t play, but man, he could sing.
Like the gift to the poet, it comes from the heart,
Sing him a tune, it will add to your art.

Try not breathing for 24 hours. I did it, but didn\'t feel well after it. Doh! lol.
Wish KP would stop breathing old trout-breath.
