My Baahstun Accent
Laura🌻 said:

AP,
I will never forget the time I was in NYC. Two nuns approached me and one of them asked me where they could take the AHAH! I said, “Excuse me Sister, what did you say?” She repeated the question. I still didn’t understand! I asked, “What are you looking for?” She responded, “Where is the station where we can take the AHAH to go to Brooklyn ?” “Ohhh, you mean the RR train,” I said! She responded, “Yes, that’s what I said...the AHAH train!” 🤣...and yes, they were from Baahstun!!

Roll the Dice
Lorna said:

Hi AP! This brought to mind a quote by Beryl Markham: \"Life is life and fun is fun but it\'s all so quiet when the goldfish dies\"........... which seems to say nothing and then it does! My mind has always seen alternative options ahead in case something goes wrong...... maybe that\'s a woman thing.... I\'m not off the planet yet so can\'t say if it\'s going to always work! In the end there\'s only one possible ending dice or no dice! My partner is (well was) a man who took a lot of physical risks.... he wouldn\'t have done anything differently... I had to be the practical one and the balancer but wouldn\'t have missed the adventures for all the tea in China!

A fine write AP. Many things end up as \'vanity of vanities; all is vanity\' as said in the Old Testament.

AP,
This is an absolutely beautiful poem...
And a great Daddy you would’ve made!
You are a hero in our eyes just for writing these beautiful poems for us to read! Every dad should read this poem and realize how blessed they are to be called Daddy!
I enjoyed reading this gem of a write of yours!
I remember the song from years ago! It’s an emotional one! I liked listening to it again!

Hi AP - kind of sad that fine line between being carefree and young and then slightly pathetic and self destructive..... it\'s hard to pin down exactly when that happens! Lucky for me I guess that 2 sips of hard stuff put me out so \"one less thing\" as Forrest Gump would say.....

AP,
An awesome write accompanied by an appropriate song to accentuate it!
I can’t say I relate BUT I know someone who can and hasn’t learned from his past! The sad thing is he’s not the only one affected by it! The whole family suffers! It’s like walking on eggshells! Devastating for everyone...especially for him!

THANKS AP

The greatest Mystery known to MAN
IS MAN himself ~ we are unfathomless !
The recent death of Professor Stephen Hawkins
Has reminded us of what one \"disabled\" Man
Can achieve intellectually & Usain Bolt of what Man
Can achieve Physically and Musicians & Painters
Of what Man can achieve Artistically etc !
Always remember that we are infinitely Higher
Than the APES and only just a little
Lower than the ANGELS !
So self-searching & self-realisation always leads us
on to Ground much Higher than we imagined !

Thanks for Caring & Sharing ~ BRIAN.

ah, your writing skills surpass any expectation that are thrown at you. your right, digging deep sometime can be beautifully perceived, however, the darkest places left unexplored are just waiting there to try and catch you off guard. I\'d say your poem here does exactly that. love this this work, AP.

A great write, AP!
I have a feeling if you do dig deep enough, your Muse’s quest will be satisfied! Sometimes what we want is buried so deep within us that we think it’s unapproachable and we will never have that WOW moment! Continue searching upon your quest...you will have your WOW moment!
