As Michael already said, it is amazing how diverse poetry is, and how different, but equally valid so many here on MPS have been describing it.
Beautiful definition here, lasergraph!

This is so interesting as it demonstrates the diversity in poetry. For me good poetry transports me and takes me to places either where I have never been or where I am asked to redefine. I never write poetry about my own personal inner thinking nor do I ever bear my soul. Even when I do write in the first person it is rare indeed that I actually am providing a documentary about myself except on those rare occasions where I am discussing politics or philosophy.

None of this is, of course, to distract from you your super poem Lasergraph.

PEARL HARBOR
FredPeyer said:

Very well written, lasergraph! I visited Pearl Harbor memorial several times. And from my house I can see Kolekole pass where the Japanese airplanes crossed the Waianae mountain range. Their first target were the planes parked at Wheeler Airforce Base (now Wheeler Army Air Field) which is more or less next door to where I live. Many times I have contemplated how it must have been on that fateful day. If my house would have existed at that time, these Japanese planes would have flown right over it.

Great poem, lasergraph. Here is the perfect answer when somebody tries to sell you something on the phone:
Oh, I am so glad you called. Would you be interested in Amway?
They usually hang up.

Great write and I just laughed out loud - thank you.

I used to work in computing before retirement and computing has both software and hardware and as I have seen on a number of occasions it is called hardware because it creates a hell of a noise when thrown against a wall!
