The Eternal Tides

Mottakeenur I have never done this before but I am only half way though reading this poem and so struck with its wisdom, beauty or wording that I had to begin to write this. It\'s incredible deep meaning put in such beautiful worded rhyme feels as though it has been written divinely and smoothed in the river of time like a stone. There are a few poems that in my weakness I envy and this is one. A fave after the first stanza

The final lines are especially powerful. \"Even your wounds are seeds\"-- what a perspective; to see pain not as something to avoid, but as something that will grow, transform, and add to the richness of life. Thereโ€™s a deep trust in strength here, a reminder that courage isnโ€™t something newโ€”itโ€™s something that has always existed within you. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Even your wounds are seedsโ€”
so love the sweet sting, the sweat,
hoard your memories like gold.)

Mottakeenur this poem is studded with one splendid metaphor after another the whole poem being symbolic in nature. This poem requires a good deal of meditation each line needing reflection. Like the ocean it is calm on the surface but deep. Most lovely

A magnificent portrayal of nature in all its color and splendor. Written from a seasoned pen of an artist that knows how to draw the reader in and waltz them through the garden to the end with warpaint and all. Lovely wording in this poem and divided well into passages.

Turning an old image into something new is always wondrous, one of the finest ways to make poetry speak. I am moved by the power of your war paint metaphor... but don\'t underestimate old Wordsworth. His poetry was a revolution of soft power, a hue and cry that the world need not be stingy and bland and monopolized by getting and spending, all work and no play. Keep them coming! Your works are serious stuff, never trite or disappointing!

Damnation: A Requiem for the Sacred
sorenbarrett said:

Enigmatic, prophetic it reads like a holy book. It\'s metaphors broad enough for multiple interpretations, its images strong enough to give it a very powerful feel. It is structured in verse like stanzas again giving it a most authoritative and powerful feel. Nicely done

A wonderful write so cleverly thought out,and a wonderful thought the moon and sun being in love, I feel it also relates to ourselves, as sometimes people can fall in love with someone they could never be with, really enjoyed the read

A cosmic Romeo and Juliet set in such great poetic style and verse. There is a cyclical feel to the meter that resembles the orbiting of the bodies. Mythical in its proportions this story has so many great lines that reflect reality as the moon reflects the sun\'s light. This truly is a poem of epic proportions and deserves a wide viewing. Loved it and a fave
