I got drawn into this - never heard of Cf until her death (not my idea of TV) but it was so tragic. Fine write Sylvia.

Although at first, this read and seemed both dark and morbid... On subsequent visits and therefore with greater familiarity, I recognise that it is in fact a great bit o literature (as like in a page from a book)… Or an outstanding bit o prose poetry.... It could quite easily be published as both....

Superbly written words sylvia, the darkness is there but I am sure that if you keep your \'promise to try\' you will rise from the ashes into the light of a wonderful life.

First class rhyming in this deeply dark write Sylvia - -- the flow is sublime as is the honest feel of aloneness - -
must read this poem again so saved to my faves. Thanks for sharing your talented skill.

Wow this was a nice read. I do like the darker writes. I think if I was in a fairytale, I would no doubt be the wicked witch or the snow queen. I am far too cold and unforgiving to be a princess who seeks only love. My heart, as your poem describes so well, is probably made of stone.

Thank you for this read today

The Seas roar and the last lingering Hope of Peace is lost ! BUT take heart & keep searching ! In my experience the periods of DESPAIR pass and HOPE prevails ! Im 31 and have wanted to be married and start a Family for the last ten years ~ but Potential Husbands ~ came & went ! BUT I met BRIAN over three years ago and we are getting married in APRIL ~ AMEN

It opens with MAYA feeling that Her sudden & unexpected developing Relationship with ROIBEARD is quite natural. She cries when he indircectly calls her a Friend ! She even passes the CAT test by knowing *How to rub a Cat to make it feel content* a useful skill if a pet Cat stands between You & Your potential Lover ! Dogs are much more difficult because they are much more protective of their Master / Mistress ! Again you have touched on an area we can all relate to ! The HALLMARK of a Good Novel ! ANGELA HERE - Good Evening SYLVIA ! There is always room for a good story on MPS despite its Title ! I too like writing STORIES - But BRIAN is teaching me to write Poetry - usually constrained as ACROSTICS or Sonnets (14 lines !). Brevity is the norm on MPS !
Your STORY had me hooked in the first three paragraphs. I love OLD CONTINENTAL CHURCHES - especially Spanish ! You introduce a mystery LADY (P 6.) and a LADY reappears (P 13. ?). She drink - TEA (P 15.). Is she ENGLISH - are we in Continental Europe ? The Man is unmarried & lonely living with his MOM and CATS (P 10.) ! Where are we ? ROME - Italy is not a small place and USA Towns do not ususally have OLD CHURCHES ! His name is French (ROI = KING) ? and Coffee (not TEA) is the normal drink in Continental Europe - rather than in the UK ! Please please post PART 2 - tomorrow !

Loved the story in your PROFILE. *Now is the hour of Departure* Very spooky - very deja vu ! It obviously was her Appointed Time ! You are an excellent racconteur !

Blessings & Peace & JOY
Yours ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡
