A great write, sylvia, it is still rambling through my mind after reading it twice. Love the line \'I hunt in the muds for words that make sense\'. I think that goes for every writer.

It\'s a shame there isn\'t a \'haunting\' category because this fits right in. Dark and atmospheric. Half glimpsed figures that aren\'t there when your attention is drawn to them. Great writing thanks Sylvia.

Are these the words of unfulfilled emotion us poets experience when we cannot complete the piece we began to compose......
...... the frame of mind we entered to begin that composition somehow gets lost.... disappears as the practical side of finding the words to convey the emotion takes over......

I smile and put it away for another day..... and disappear too.

The superb rhyming in this raw piece of deep introspection draws out the sheer pathos of the first stanza and moves the very heart of this reader. Your way with words never ceases to amaze dear Sylvia.

I hate myself, I hate the things I\'ve done, but I want to live. Sounds like a tormented existence. Your poem paints a very dark picture of one struggling to survive. Some very powerful phrases help to delineate that picture: \"break my face on that shiny spectre\'\" \"Bleed my heart with that same syringe,\" \"that massaged my ego into orgasm.\" These are powerful images that you have created. They take your lament and infuse life into it. Well done. - Phil A.

Yay, for in what form will reincarnation be, and where, when? For it is a huge theory to conjecture.

Physically though reincarnation is plain to see for out physical being returns to the carbon of the environment only to manifest again as a part of who knows how many different carbon based existences.

A very thought provoking read from you.
