The Tin Man Laments
MendedFences27 said:

He became human. Shortly thereafter, a Tin Lizzy dumped him for an intelligent Scarecrow. He got a change of oil and a lube job and went back on the Y.B road. - Not to make light of your insightful poem, it just seemed to be to be the logical conclusion. Inspiring stuff. - Phil A.

Psychologists just released a study saying that frequent visits to the beach keep us balanced, stable, grounded. Time alone is indeed important. A breath of fresh air clears the mind. - Another gem of a poem. - Phil A.

everything flies away
MendedFences27 said:

To me, Time is like a raging river carrying us along. It can\'t be stopped and we know not where it will take us.
Just hold your breath and go with the flow. On wind or water the destination remains the same. The big question is ..WHY? Intriguing work. Loved it. - Phil A.

salisbury steak tv dinner
MendedFences27 said:

It\'s never as advertised. Even the lowliest T.V. dinner can breach the walls built between us. Mix it all together and it\'s stew. The world is a T.V, dinner with Billions of compartments and it is inevitable that they shall mix. So. now what do I do with my Mac & Cheese?
A very interesting poem that caught my imagination. Thank you for that. - Phil A.

This is so honest and brutal. It makes me think and I like that. It’s also short enough to keep my attention. At times less is more. Thanks for sharing.

Such sweet sentiment Jon - my husband has this awful disease although he still maintains his core personality with all his might!

no more sandwiches
Goldfinch60 said:

This really strikes home Jon. My wife has dementia and she too cannot make sandwiches or do any other cooking. she cannot make a cup of tea or coffee any more - it is too dangerous.
Dementia is a pain the proverbial and there is no cure for it - it can only get worse. I feel for your friend .

At the Gym
Goldfinch60 said:

I thought of going to a gym once; I went a lay down in a darkened room until the feeling wore off.
This type of action can happen in many other ways, good observation.

Sad image, but when the leaf falls to the floor and becomes part of the earth which nourishes the tree. It will become endless.
