hamlet - deleted scenes #4

This is so honest and brutal. It makes me think and I like that. It’s also short enough to keep my attention. At times less is more. Thanks for sharing.

Such sweet sentiment Jon - my husband has this awful disease although he still maintains his core personality with all his might!

no more sandwiches
Goldfinch60 said:

This really strikes home Jon. My wife has dementia and she too cannot make sandwiches or do any other cooking. she cannot make a cup of tea or coffee any more - it is too dangerous.
Dementia is a pain the proverbial and there is no cure for it - it can only get worse. I feel for your friend .

At the Gym
Goldfinch60 said:

I thought of going to a gym once; I went a lay down in a darkened room until the feeling wore off.
This type of action can happen in many other ways, good observation.

Sad image, but when the leaf falls to the floor and becomes part of the earth which nourishes the tree. It will become endless.

ExistentialSarah said:

I feel like this one is going to rattle around in my brain for a while, in a good way, until I can find personal application. \"Young answers to old Lies\". Why is that so profound to me? Maybe because...as simple as the grass beneath our feet, experiences and sensations on a basic human level...we can so easily get lost in our own complicated headspace. We forget to connect to the things that are just...solid and real. There are more than a few \"lies\" of perception, negatively held, dysfunctional beliefs, that I have to overturn with new insights in order to find peace.

Resa71 said:

Love always finds a way of coming around again.
Even when we don’t really want it to.
It’s like magic!
Even though in my case, it always ends tragically or suddenly, the same way it first appeared
Out of nowhere.
Nice write.
