Addictions really do. And the addict truly isn’t their self, leaving their loved ones missing them, let alone reeling from the trauma of it all. So sorry your family is experiencing this. A hauntingly poignant poem Cassie. This brought tears to my eyes, because I have had addiction in my family, and have had my own struggles that I luckily moved on from. Could have gone a different way,, and almost did, but I am thankful that it didn’t. A most important write, emotionally, but also showing the OTHER side of addiction…what it does to families. Excellent poem! 👏🌹🖤

Most powerful poem about a terrible disease that tears people apart individually and socially. Very nicely written Cassie.

Now there’s the source of indelible memories! The pirate theme’s still catching. My scraped knees were expeditions into the great unknown, how those days have gone.

You could, I think raise a wineglass without too much guilt as there were many factors, psychological, social, the industry’s pressures which contributed to Amy’s death. Your poem is in good company with the many and lasting tributes to a great talent, Cassie (Lassie incognito).

Makes me muse about the disconnect… too many have been cut off from their possible life so early on, and we are still here whether or not we “deserve” to be, if that even is the word for it.

Yet still not many really take much notice, as we just lost Liam Payne too, I remember sitting in disbelief, she really was a talent, fame took its toll, alcohol and drugs far to easy to find. Such a kind tribute dearest Cassie. 🌹

A tribute to a sad soul who left us with much music having lived a life of pain and misery. Addiction is often chosen by artists as their medication of choice. Well expressed Cassie.

A very sad end and an extremely talented soul. Tortured but beautiful. Love Back to Black. Great album, great artist. Fitting tribute. Indeed, it is amazing at how insensitive and careless people can be with their alcohol traditions. Astute observation. Brava! 🌹🌹👏🖤
