From the very first sighting I loved the look of those graceful structures (Form and function and all that.)
Your poem is a fitting tribute to them, many thanks, Cassie.
Side issues: I don’t detect any spelling errors here; none in mine if my disciplinarian spell checker has any say. If you find any, at any time, please let me know directly.
Wasn’t particularly aware of those avian tragedies; how reliable are the studies?

Had they made them prettier in shape (not economically appealing to the magnates I imagine) would probably imaginable mark them more attractive to the subscribing public). But when was the last time any of 5hem really cared for the little people. Oops, went off on a tangent there… a thousand pardons.

Great poem, Cassie. Clean energy is the way to go. Of course nothing has zero impact. These lines reminded me of that:
\"row on row they stand
embracing air
as though a surgeon’s knife
sliced through sky’s heart
rip roaring red no sutures
as crimson clots appear \"
Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I think of the wildlife, particularly birds, that get \"sacrificed\" (if you will) for such clean energy. That said, it is not a reason to stop using wind (like some people try to argue)...as look at what oil does to the wildlife...let alone the planet. So, a far safer and CLEANER source of energy for sure. One that people have been using for the longest time actually. Anyway, all of that to say, this poem is not only beautifully rendered, it touches on such an important topic as well. 🙏🌹👏

Say what you will, this is a damn fine poem. It is best that we share ideas and thoughts rather than dealing in secret. Openness mainly brings with it, truth, while secrecy harbors evil. A fine poem Cassie. - Phil A.

Very nice Cassie yes, it is the rare person that stands up against the crowd. Most people go along, even if they don’t feel like it. What we don’t realize is that one person can change the tide of a majority. Standing up for what one believes gives others courage to do the same.

Cassie, this is poetic indeed it has several wonderful lines“ harvest hardship in monochrome “ Is my favorite. Other poetic inferences add depth to this poem. The draining of color from the picture as the draining of lives that are in it. Then there is the last line the analogy of the small hurt fingers that cry out just as the small children do beautiful
