Yes, disagreeing doesn\'t make us enemies, makes us human with different opinions. While not dismising your convections, actknowledge others, discuss and learn from one another. Excellent write. Thank you.

You have a thing with your last lines so exactly defining the rest. Spent summers on my Aunt\'s farm, typical city boy, I felt bailing hay was an adventure, lost a bet about catching a chicken. The lady in the corner provides mystery though. Well Done.

\'her voice rings out clear\' \"Who\'s nicked my bleedin shoe?\"
Chorus: \'Her shoe.. her shoe.. her shoe .....

Now I have a funny feeling that this piece, in all it\'s careful structure and rhythm had a higher purpose than that, Cassie..... You may put this down to a slightly disordered mind. I hope it prepares you to some extent for what you might encounter in the future.

Did enjoy the write really....

As long as there are no signs of it being “Animal Farm” it is all harmless enough. Makes me wonder if I will ever be a resident myself. It isn’t really going to be too long now… mmm….

Cassie, what a beautiful portrayal of the rural life. I have lived some summers on a farm and enjoy the quiet and country life. I now live a good deal of time on what once was a farm and enjoy the solitude and singing of the birds. A most wonderful poem it brought back many memories.

From the very first sighting I loved the look of those graceful structures (Form and function and all that.)
Your poem is a fitting tribute to them, many thanks, Cassie.
Side issues: I don’t detect any spelling errors here; none in mine if my disciplinarian spell checker has any say. If you find any, at any time, please let me know directly.
Wasn’t particularly aware of those avian tragedies; how reliable are the studies?

Had they made them prettier in shape (not economically appealing to the magnates I imagine) would probably imaginable mark them more attractive to the subscribing public). But when was the last time any of 5hem really cared for the little people. Oops, went off on a tangent there… a thousand pardons.

Great poem, Cassie. Clean energy is the way to go. Of course nothing has zero impact. These lines reminded me of that:

\"row on row they stand
embracing air
as though a surgeon’s knife
sliced through sky’s heart
rip roaring red no sutures
as crimson clots appear \"

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I think of the wildlife, particularly birds, that get \"sacrificed\" (if you will) for such clean energy. That said, it is not a reason to stop using wind (like some people try to argue)...as look at what oil does to the wildlife...let alone the planet. So, a far safer and CLEANER source of energy for sure. One that people have been using for the longest time actually. Anyway, all of that to say, this poem is not only beautifully rendered, it touches on such an important topic as well. 🙏🌹👏

My dad was an extremely bad alcoholic, he would make himself at least 3 large half and half vodka and grapefruit juice to set by his bed at night so he would have them to calm his shakes when he woke up in the morning. Needless to say, growing up was a story its self. I\'m babbling on....love ypur sty;e of writting and nice to meet you as well.
