Gave me goosebumps, there is a lot of horrific news this week regarding knives, it has to stop, your pain is our pain, a comunity shouldn\'t have to grieve any child and children shouldn\'t be handling knives. I was in London when Steven Lawrence died, I was also in much pain for him. 🌹 Your empathy and compassion and in the way you have even entered your dear Dog really brings home how terrible it all is. 💔

Oh wow, much like the scurrying about my sister and I did as school children, sometimes even when events like this one described had just occurred. Very moving poem. 👍🏻🙏🏻🕊️

Haunting! This poem brings the reader in in the middle and leaves them without an ending, suspended in time and space with that feeling of weightlessness of falling but not having hit yet. There is a feeling of apprehension. Very well written Cassie

hi Cassie your poem is very touching and emotional
the words describe the poem so well and touches the heart
to lose the life of child in a senseless killing is hard to bare
when its children that have done it harder to understand
parents are sentenced to life killers can be set free
knife crime now is getting worse almost epidemic
a lovely poem you have written should be proud of yourself
you really a very talented writer but you know how good you are Jim xx

Oh my. RIP Olly. Why does stupidity have to carry such a weighty cost? Human violence, displayed at such a young age. I looked up Olly\'s story and it is such a terrible tragedy that kids/humans would do that to another kid, and for what reason? Senseless stupidity, callous evil. Both...and the result is a beautiful life and soul taken from this world. Wonderful poem, Cassie. Thank you for sharing his memory with us all. His story deserves to be heard.

Heart rending, where peace and tragedy connect; in essence, the dog and the hilltop climb provide a physical and emotional landscape in which the deeper narrative of loss, memory, and reflection unfolds, enriching this poem\'s overall impact.

Heartbreaking 💔 knives have always been a problem, just seems to be worse now a days to lose a life at any age is unacceptable but as I myself have an almost 12 year old son, this churns my inside 🌹 a truly magnificent piece, should be shared in schools. 💜

This poem carries with it the reader. Very well written it pulls the reader up that hill and in its exertion left panting. There is a sense of loss, loyalty to a memory, sadness over stupidity all cast in the perfect image of a snow frosted mount. A sumit climbed to end here. Full of metaphor this poem leaves a haunting feeling and sense of emptiness.

The metaphor of melting snow lends a peacefulness to this contemplation of love experienced, and lost. Your phrasing is impeccable, and the sentiment of reflection is beautifully bittersweet. You always amaze and delight. Thank you!
