While not at all the same, yet you remind me, as did Melvin aka aDarkerMind, that I cannot write about my precious late mother; it is as if these lines and pieces we pen to inspire souls are yet too vile to answer for the more sanctified task of addressing our mothers, whether before or after lost. Exquisitely rendered with enchanting imagery and a painfully haunting poignancy which readily resonates. Thank you for sharing. From what little I know of the Scriptures, I suspect it must be so. Thank you again.

Yes, a poignant write Cassie. Just \'being there\' is surely better than \'not being there\'.

Hi Cassie, I am so sorry...my heart to yours. I remember when my mom was so sick with cancer and said \"why can\'t I just die\" we all knew including her that she had little time left but her words still echo in my head today and it\'s been 20 years. This is a beautifully writen piece from the heart for sure. I wish you the best.

Accidental Poet said:
In my dad\'s last few years, I could see this in him. My adoptive mother was gone, most all of his friends were also gone. He stares at the TV not really watching, and I can almost sense what he\'s feeling. That he just wishes he could go now. And I can\'t even try to talk to him about it, just as I know he wouldn\'t be able to talk to me about it either. I wanted so much to ease his mind and comfort him. I\'m sure your mom was going through much the same feelings. Almost as difficult for their children as it is for them. 🫂

You are correct, dearest Poet; words can fail to bring comfort; however, your presence with your mum is pricelessly comforting. It is such a hard task to want to help however we can but to find ourselves completely hopeless in doing so. Just know your presence with your mom, I am certain, meant everything to her. ❤️🩹🌹👏 Well done, Cassie. This poem is heartbreakingly beautiful!

I am not surprised that so many poets have made these fine words a firm favourite of theirs.. it would surely feature amongst mine if I were to go down that route ..for without any doubt, these words were felt and are damn near perfect.. Neville
