Tears of mercy
L. B. Mek said:
(I so relate dear cherished Poet
truly, a great questing write)
tears can cleanse
or claim new victims
pulled under, drowning
in remembered hurt
I like
distance, between majority
for I recognise how tightly
my life tiptoes
on that rope of calamity..
but there is comfort
in ending\'s, in our finality
there
can also be a promise of mercy
we know we\'re counting down
our limited time
so it can help us shake loose
those shackles, wasting
our precious breath
death is guaranteed, to all
now
what are we going to about
life?!

The greatest poem
L. B. Mek said:
distance between us n truth
too crudely, dictates
merits in our poetic artistry...
T. S. Eliot
heralded for many a verse
when they all stem back
to that marriage he let go to waste
now, watch that crowd
ignore that fact, because they have
spent a lifetime fooled by his words
investing their years
in his poetic theatrics
his genius for elitist wordplay mirages...
or that lauded Frost
who inspired a friend
to lose his precious life
signing up for a war
no one could win;
because Frost used, misspoken
vulnerability\'s, decrying
a man\'s macho worth, assumptively
then versed his friends weakness
in that famous poem,
that all know
yet none can truly comprehend
about choosing a less trodden
path, dreaming of breaking new
ground
while that same poem
already told them in its lines
before
both paths, end-up the same...
some \'famous\' poet\'s
have always known the truth
that
there are as many wannabe poets
as there are petals blooming
in the spring of life
yet, very rarely do we get to glimpse
those black bat\'s sprouting
and rarer even, for us to fall upon
a bed of fallen Middle Mist Crimson
gems..
\'but as God said,
crossing his legs,
I see where I have made
plenty of poets
but not so very much
poetry.\'
from Bukowski\'s
\'to the whore who took my poems\'

Death is so often mislabeled, while we here suffer a a loss, the one who has passed is no longer suffering. I saw that with my parents when they left this world. Their suffering was finally over. THank you for this reminder.

If only poetry could serve to influence the negative so it could be positive, the bad so it could be good. It\'s a beautiful write, on that makes me wish for such a poem, that could inspire goodness. The world\'s leaders would need to read it.

Oh so very sad, I do believe a poem is never finished personally, so there is still time. My dear sorenbarret such beauty withing the lines of such tragedy. ❤️ epaecially as poems a very rarely recognised for their true value at least until a poet becomes well known and or has kicked ones bucket. ❤️ a wonderful provocative piece.

Tech has done that to so many relationships. Ironic, the very thing that\'s supposed to be considered advancement is ultimately the demise of relationships and growth. Very well written and communicated.

in our search for progress
we strip away what truly matters
well most do, rest of us
are left behind, holding-on
choosing to believe
there\'s someone who can understand
and feel the same, somewhere...
(a poignant, relatable
and sobering read, dear Poet)
thank you!

The travesty is that the poem ended. Subject matter to the poet is many times irrelevant as a poem can take form from a single word, as it then births the subject. But, in retrospect, this write makes perfect sense. Well done!
