It happens to writers. Sometimes it\'s a travel through a desert. The words, the ideas don\'t turn up. Inspiration is a mystery and is beyond anyone\'s control. When it happens you must make the most of it. Reading Wordsworth\'s (1770-1850) work, you will notice that as from a certain point, his writings became rather bland.

Love the description of poems past, well and maybe even current. Well thats what popped in my mind. Writers block? Or the words you write aren;t exactly what your looking for. We as writers are our own worse critics. At least that is the was I took this piece. but hey, I enjoyed reading your words and the metaphors were well worth the read. Thank you for making me think this early morning. As well as the smile of my face, Very well thought out .

For me this is a little despairing although it ends in hope. It is a tough analysis of the state of your poetry. I am here to say that your poetry is amazing and I hope you continue writing.Take heart better days ahead

Hello soren,
Hand made love, a very subtle way of putting it, and as for \'back swaying\' along in old age, aptly observed and rendered forth with doddering panache - excellent! Even the thought of making a bed is a labour in itself. A delightful verse of humour to carry me through the day. Thank you very much for sharing this one.

From one self \'maid\' man to another,

Tony.

The ageing process is a most striking thing. When you compare someone\'s pictures in old age and in young age, you would never believe the transformation, the wreckage that age creates. The wrinkles come from nowhere, the skin sags.... It has been said that after 50 everything heads south. All things start sagging about us. Perhaps there is a cold logic for the ageing process. Generations have to succeed each other, to make room for new ones. This ensures the survival of the race.

A fine poem on an intriguing topic. The amount of times people encounter the double of people they know. Maybe there is something in it.

For me this is a strong exploration of the contrary nature of realty. From simplicity to complexity end with one and many. This is quite a thoughtful approach to this eternal problem. Is reality real or is it made up of unreality. This made me think.Excellent
