I have a thing about damascus steel & have a fine collection of sharp pointy things all custom made in forges from around the globe .. all kept in a temperature controlled environment .. I also have a thing about Damascus & Syria and loose sleep over both on a regular basis .. I may be a million miles off target today but it had to be said & it felt safer letting go of it here .. forgive me .. Neville

Your poem digs deep into the wounds that never heal. Some situations are not salvageable. Sometimes a clean break is the only solution. - Phil A.

This is an interesting style. Creates a Charles Dicken like atmosphere. Excellent.

never really fade. 😢

Many are the wounds that never heal in the generation affected and often in future generations - and still the human race clings to its many Gods.

I have absolutely had those thoughts ride those storms and they can be friggin\' turbulent. On edge indeed. Well expressed, my friend. The imagery in this is rich, surreal and multilayered, just the way I like it. Well done! 👍

Loving the title choice on this one Soren, sets up the whole poem with tension, instability and vulnerability. In its chaos, offering a profound exploration of memory, pain, and the subtle hint of potential for renewal. An thought provoking \'portrait\' of the intricate and often turbulent nature of our minds, and the enduring hope that lies beneath the surface.

Let folks make what they will of the Festive Season. You have made it with your well honed piece. A rich read, Soren. But it is going to take more than all the charities put together at all times of the year to resolve poverty and inequality.
I\'m going to raise a glass to all those poor poets in the north who are suffering in the Winter Solstice.😊
