A splendid metaphor that has many levels the literal, the meta and the meta meta. Deep in its philisophical thought also captured in brevity of poetic speech. This one for the combination of all deserves a Fave

Very ‘Atmospheric’ in Your description . Wonderful Write.
Also according to my Biography of Dickens, Poe was reviewing ‘Barnaby Rudge’ and May have got the Idea of the Raven from the one Barnaby had . Also Dickens owned a Raven.

Wow! E. A. Poe is my all-time favorite poet and writer, a huge inspiration in my life and work, and a kindred spirit in ways, even though our lives have played out differently. This poem touched me, my friend. He was so much more than he left us, and what he left us was voluminous! A truly brilliant mind and tortured soul. If you haven\'t already, I highly recommend \"A Mystery of Mysteries: The Death and Life of Edgar Allan Poe\" by Mark Dawidziak. An excellent book that sheds much light on the man behind the legend, written in a most fascinating and page-turning way. As for your poem, I can\'t give it high enough ratings. Well done, my dear friend! 🌹👏

Indeed he was apoet of darkness that left us an image who\'s shadow in the form of a raven has become an archetype. Lovely words replete with poe-tic images. Nicely done

This senryu is worth more than one visit because it carries such a strong meaning and significance, which you have mentioned in your author notes in detail. Fabulous artwork, the repaired pottery and the senryu arqios.

The duality involved in this haiku is amazing itself. So few words in a haiku with one of the longest author notes I have seen. But every word necessary for the ignorant. I had forgoten compleatly about this art and your reminding me opened another door in my mind for which I am grateful. This poem a work of art is worth a Fave and much of the fave is going to the note that opens the interpretive door to the art itself

Being an artist who also dabbles in paper clay and air dry clay I recognise this elegant Japanese form - I hope you don\'t mind but your superb write has inspired me to write my own 757 with rhyme:
Repairing the old
broken pieces joined with gold
in splendour behold

Good write A. We humans are biblically described as dust, worms, etc, and as earthenware pots. So maybe that\'s why we say we\'re \'cracking up!\' lol. Spot of interesting Japanese info there.

LOL ah goating around I see, ok you got me good arqios, I would be the first human to say it\'s absolutely no fun being perfect, it is in fact those imperfections that make us special. On Saturdays I teach a bunch of 12 year old Italians English, let me tell you there is a lot of laughter, mostly when I speak italian. 🤣
