Although on the surface this appears and well could be a beautiful love poem but I feel greater depth in the nature references and how nature itself is the love. Just my take on this beautifully worded proclamation of love to whomever it is directed.

I imagined I met you, and you said to me: \'No need to go mad and chop down the whole laurel tree\'. Doh! lol.

Indeed, we live in a world of extending swords instead of laurels. This is a great call to action, which is what this poem is about. The offering of peace and forgiveness...not just the mere wish of having it. Well done, my friend! 🌹👏

The Hand of peace, lovely piece of writing highlighting that even a simple gesture can have some a dramatic effect, enjoyed the read.

Well written this cryptic poem in its depth speaks to me of the power of symbols and actions beyond words. Forgiveness is not a word but an action. Honor not a word but an action. So well set in this metaphoric piece is the notion that words are not needed there is a poetry in the doing, the act itself.

Here\'s \'hostile advice\', said by a clergyman, of all people - \'I\'m a man of peace, and if anyone doesn\'t agree with me, I\'ll punch them on the nose\'. Doh!
Or a fictitious scene, hopefully - A guy said \'hello\' to a nasty guy. He replied \'What do you mean hello? What do you want? I\'ll give you a good punch for speaking to me\'. A pleasant chap - not!

I cried tears over spilt milk - if that relates to this in any way? Probably not! lol.
I baulk at the convolutions in cryptic poems, and sometimes add some daft, inane comment instead!

Tristan Robert Lange said:
First. Love the Everly Brothers. Second, that picture is making me tear. 🤣 Finally, tears are indeed healing. I have not cried more than I have in the past year...guess I\'m finally catching up to where I should have been all along...but those tears have brought healing, for sure. Bravo, my friend, this poem hit home! 🌹👏

Like most of your writing this poem requires thought and rereading to grasp its meaning. In its depth swirl emotions as well as thoughts and in those tears of rain the pain of cracked and broken past events are mended. Very nicely done my friend
