A very poignant 😒
and thought provoking write!
I took a plane to visit my
place where I was born, it
changed so much in only
ten years, clubs gone, movie
theaters abandoned, just
didn\'t seem like my old
home town any more..
Anywho, thanks for sharing
a great read indeed!! πŸ‘
Best regards ✌️ peace Thad

A polished write. ....I cannot relate that to myself but as a reminder of the transience of life and place, You\'ve cracked it.

You took me back to Betsy Drury\'s old ramshackle cottage (they said she was a witch) not far from my mothers pre-marital home in the wilds of Devon .. I have written about it often .. a very special place for me & mine .. muchly enjoyed .. Neville

Marvelously worded this poem rolls like waves on the sea. The beauty of the scene is cast in splendid images and is good enough by itself but below lies a deeper metaphor where in this life none of us can ever go home again. Time does not flow upstream.

This is really well constructed. I like the rhyme. It is a strange feeling to explore where you came from.It reminded me of my ancestry. Most of them were horse thieves.Great poem

So many places where we used to live have been torn down arqios and it is such a shame for us in many cases.

Cryptic this poem sends a hidden message. So often in poetry messages are sent through metaphor, analogies, and in parable form. These hidden messages like alphabet soup spell out hidden meanings. I often feel like an occultist When writing using symbols to convey meaning. This was a fun read, but one with a message.
