Your poem walks the tightrope between spiritual yearning and everyday truth, pairing scripture with smoke and beer. It’s a raw meditation on mortality and deliverance, where praise is still possible in flawed, earthly moments. The speaker doesn’t claim certainty, only the urgency of choosing light while breath remains. In its closing lines, the sacred meets the secular; grace spoken from a barstool.

Oh dang! I am so glad I came across this! Truth! 💯🌹👏 Well done, friend. Actually, no. You deserve a bravo on this! Seriously! The truth sings and sometimes it screams. Either way, it sets one free! Brilliant numerology in a brilliant poem!

Clever and with the help of numerology it works. If followed it goes much deeper an issue of correlation vs causation. Well written and loved it.

This poem skips along with a unique charm; equal parts punchline and parable. There’s something beautifully self-aware in its humour, like a clown taking a bow mid-tears. It leaves the reader smiling but slightly off-kilter, which may be exactly the point.

A Bob Dylan influence with a twist in the words they drip with music. A lovely write that almost dances in the eyes of the reader. Loved it

I don\'t believe, from what little I know of the Scriptures, that it\'s even possible to assign such a post to you. But now you see how very little I know. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Rain

I enjoy the rain. Being from an island like Puerto Rico, we experience much of it, so I can deeply relate to its presence. It\'s May, and the news is already discussing the upcoming hurricane season, urging the populace to prepare. I enjoyed reading your poem—it flows like a rushing creek, strong and steady. Thank you for sharing; it was an excellent piece. I invite you to read some of my rain poems in MPS.
