The poem’s strength lies in its honest questioning and its faith in expression. It doesn’t claim certainty, but it dares to speak anyway. That’s poetry at its most human.

Poetry can have power as is raised in this work. It does depend on who reads it and how it strikes them at that moment. It is a game of chance but worth playing. Nicely worded

I once heard a fascinating lecture by a Mennonite pastor who was making the case for us to question our use of Technology. I forget which person he was citing from, so you might already know this. But the famous quote he was quoting was \"The median is the message\". The things we use affect us in ways we never imagine, and in ways we don\'t notice as it is a gradual perception change.
He then gave a few examples.
When we are saying things orally (telling stories or poetry around a campfire or even just together), it is a bonding Tribal thing. The median of oral communication enforces this tribal outlook on the world.
Then we invented writing, which isn\'t in itself evil, and it allowed us to reach new advancements in every single field. We had an immortal memory so it seemed so we weren\'t stuck blindly passing information onwards through oral communication for the rest of our lives. Super helpful, BUT it gives us an individual outlook. We spend less time with others, start caring less about others for we become more self dependent.
Now, with the rise of social media and the telephones, we have a new dilemma. We feel like we are communicating with people, but we have a barrier in between us. We aren\'t physically present with anyone, but we feel as if though we are. We are lying to ourselves in every respect. Social media is a Tribe of Individuals. We still are selfish though we think we care, but social media neither fulfills us in the tribal aspect for we aren\'t really experiencing what it means to be in a tribe, and also we often become absorbed into the social media losing our individuality as we seek to find some fulfillment in it, though it never fulfills.

Nice poem!

I guess rarer know than not. Have you read 1984 and Animal Farm? The assessment must be that who is ignorant shall pay dearly. Ergo, \"ignorance is bliss.\" Nicely rendered with excellent imagery and a curious poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Modernization, technology, progress they call it but with each step forward to convenience a step backward for freedom and privacy. A lovely cry in poetic form

This poem is wonderful in its vague depiction of what is meant. I take this as a critique of present government but also those that put it in place or at least allowed it to come about. Nicely and most poetically done a fave

A poem that reflects many\'s present feeling in religion. They seem to interpret things their way forgetting about good Samaritans, about Christ and the sinners and revert to Old Testament eradication of the enemy and salting their fields. I guess we took a step backward Good write

Yikes! 30 minutes. Yesterday I tried to edit a poem and kept getting blocked, but the poem remained, trended, got commented on. Not sure what that was all about. LOL! Sigh. As for your poem, I am glad that you were able to post it finally. Powerful, my friend. Well done. 🌹
