Mmm, dunno. Methinks you\'re a poet and appreciates your humility. Beautiful tribute to the art and human frailty. Delightfully rendered with a winsome poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Such true words 2781, they are all a bunch of liars and only what to get things for themselves and don\'t care about those who voted for them!

Cannot avoid a response to this. What a pain in the arse the whole thing!
Do I know all the candidates on the ballot paper? Only the one or two who are motivated to slip something, full of vapid generalizations through my letterbox.
Compulsory to vote: last time my civic duty was required I was in hospital; and no facility was made for me to vote for or against The Voice (parliamentary consultation for indigenous people) Harassed later by the Electoral Commission. More Bureaucracy…..
Could go on…Postal Voting….
Thanks for putting it out there, Mate.

You know, these posts are not always diary pages, however, I\'m particularly fond of the same and this little ramble is fun as the reader joins in a vicarious ramble where work and life demands. Very lovely. Thank you for sharing! I love it!

A great story and I love poems that are ballads. This could be called a modern ballad. Well written

Not much of a seaman But appreciate the danger in this poem. Remember as a child fishing with my father in a small boat when a storm came up, I wondered if we would ever make the shore. A great write And a bit of a metaphor as well

The ads force their undesirable presence upon us, as if to punish us for utilizing this forum in the ethereal. Like gnats or mosquitos or worse they frustrate. Lovely tribute!

You remind me of my late father whose wise combing of the neighborhood trash in my childhood netted us furniture my parents reupholstered to good use. However, when he tossed his collection of the Beatles and etc. he left nary lp unbroken, cuz that\'s how we do things. Very lovely rendition and winsomely tendered with the perfect smattering of key details. Me loves.
