A Very Poetic Finish

Nothing like getting down to the bare bones I find it interesting that poets were playing strip poker. I guess that is because they have to bare all. As a child, I had a pet alligator. It was back when it was legal to buy baby alligators in the US. He wouldn’t eat, so I had to force feed him by taking a piece of hamburger, rolling it into a ball pry and open his mouth and ramming it down his throat with The eraser end of a pencil as if he were a musket. Oh well enough trivia. Loved your poem. It made me smile and told a good story.

Beautiful way to describe how the oak doesn’t know of his demise in the next season (as the sun is beaming through it) very lovely Teddy…

And guess what, Teddy - I had initial trouble with this, but having taken careful account of your note and contributions above, I do very much see your excellent point.
But I cannot avoid the imagery either since in season humpbacks, complete with at times much breaching make their way up and down the east coast of Australia (perhaps singing all the way....).

Teddy I love this haiku. It has far deeper meaning than the ocean the whale swims in. Not only a haiku, but a metaphor.. We all search for great things, but they are impossible to reel in and so we must settle for much smaller prey. So nicely said and so few words

Blank Sheet

The dark and a sad piece played in a minor key or rather should I say silently. What was once written now erased leaving only blank pages. Emptiness is similar to loneliness, and in both there is a sense of sadness. This poem conveys all these feelings to me. I hope that by now notes have found her way back onto your page ended the pianos finally tuned keys play again.

Brilliantly written here Teddy.15.
This is a wonderful monologue and homage, to those little lamp-ed friends, and is also a tenderly penned love note, to the wonder of nature.
Bravo, and I hope that all is well.

This one Teddy has hidden meaning. It is sometimes out of the darkest shadows that poetry is born. Many times I have been accused of writing too dark of passage. But it is out of pain that a mother gives birth. This was a most beautiful and insightful poem

Teddy I love the personification of the kookaburra as a poet. I see all nature as poetry, sublime, right that my mind and words are not capable of putting into a poem that does it justice. I wonder if the kookaburra also would like a glass of wine? Very nice

When The Shadows Come Calling
Bella Shepard said:
This beautiful poem speaks softly of death, for it is a passing from one existence to another, and that moment must be the quintessence of peace. Angels and shadows surround us, we\'ll feel but never know, as it should be. You have an ancient and very wizened soul my friend, to see so deeply.

Can\'t say as I have seen any Angels. Maybe in disguise, they do wear disguises don\'t they? If so, they are everywhere.
What a brilliant, scary, and yet uplifting poem. It takes the edge off of facing death. My dad once told me he had seen an Angel. He was a child, like 12, sick with a fever, when he saw an Angel coming down from above. He abruptly sat up and realized the fever had past. Delirium? Maybe, but you couldn\'t convince him otherwise.
A wonderful poem, full of what might be called super-natural happenings. Loved it. - Phil A.
