A Rose Without Thorns (senryu)
Cassie58 said:
You dear Teddy are so very generous and thoughtful. This is a beautiful senryu. I am touched that you wrote this for me. A lovely kindness. This red rose has no thorns which has some symbolism. A rose without thorns shows some vulnerability. The thorns are there for protection. I can own up to feeling vulnerable at times. A huge thank you dear friend. 🌹

Fine words Teddy, I drink more tea than anything else, I like Kenya tea in the morning and in the afternoon I drink Lapsang Souchon or Ceylon Orange Pekoe.

Dear Teddy, this is both a fun and clever write. A fabulous metaphor. Made me smile. Being very English, I love my cuppa tea. (don’t drink coffee). I like the different varieties, can add milk and I don’t mind a slice of lemon now and again either. As to your final line, absolutely right. As long as you are happy with you, that’s all that matters. S*d, the naysayers😂. Have a beautiful evening my friend. 🌹🏴🫖💜

A True Broken Heart is not from Love
Cassie58 said:
For something that is relatively small in size, the heart can certainly dish out some pain. Heart break can’t be eased either with a dose of paracetamol. I haven’t come across anyone yet who has died from a broken heart, though I know many who have suffered real heartache through loss and grief. A poem dear Teddy which is truly relatable. Beautifully penned 🌹

This is raw, heartfelt, and beautifully reflective. Your journey from heartbreak to empowerment is deeply moving, and the ending—reminding us of the heart\'s resilience—is pure brilliance.

The loss of a beautiful tree can leave us grieving. Nature works in mysterious ways. She can give and take and can do so either slowly or at speed. She can offer heavenly beauty and can leave devastation in her wake. Never underestimate her power. Beautiful poetry dear Teddy. 🌹

Dear Teddy I have seen your response to Sorenbarrett’s visit. I am really touched by your generosity. My first love as a child was painting, far before I started to write poetry. I read and write in pictures. Imagery is an important feature of my work. I love your senryu, dearest of poets and thrilled that my name is mentioned alongside Sorenbarrett and Melvin🌹

This poem can be read both literally and metaphorically. It is brilliant dear Teddy. On the literal side, it always saddens me to see a fallen tree. There\'s so much history to them and they tell so much of a story...part of which is ours and our own relationship with it. Again, a brilliant and beautiful poem. 🌹👏
