How true Teddy. I write for myself alone but love to share. Of the poems that I have read on this and other sites some seem greater than the most famous. What makes a poem great is the emotion it conveys and some by luck become famous but it is luck them famous not great. So well said Teddy

No shame is the key - should be more widely practiced. Stay the course, Teddy.

Yep - one (read \'me\') needs a certain amount of egotistical self pride to pin anything up here - it may be misguided, but there you go.......

Dog Lonely
sorenbarrett said:

Loneliness comes in many forms at different times of life. I had a dog, when I was young that my dad would not allow in the house, it was lonely. I remember it to this day. Nothing deserves to be lonely.

A wonderful tale, told by a consumate story teller. You draw us in to love this ghost and his tale. It\'s another original \"Teddy\", worth its weight in gold.

absolutely brilliant Teddy .. mightily impressive and clearly demonstrates that you have not written yourself into a corner, but conversely shows how diverse the unity of mind, body and pen can really be .. it also goes to show that whist you can beat an egg, you just can\'t beat a good shag .. Been out of town several days visiting relatives and come home to find this handsome couple immortalized in verse. I almost expect them to break into a Tango. Such fun my friend!

LOL, no accountability for that cringe-worthy Mc Gee. Indeed it must be “the Irish” in you, to draw deep stories in jest💝

The twists and turns of this rumbunctious tale had me giddy by the end - a \'big dipper\' of a tale that one - but I do believe I got my money\'s worth Teddy. 🤪

I always loved ballads as poems. They may be longer but the story enthralls me. This one is great in that it is set in a mythological sense and carries a mystical feel. Wonderfully done Teddy.

That’s really freaking clever. It’s alive. It paints a story’ with invisible air as the only canvas as the words jump off the static page snd affix with motion and pathos

Always a fan of Shakespeare and many of his lines, I have wondered how he had such an expansive vocabulary\' This poem rings true and I too have felt how wonderful it would be to be able to get a lesson or two from the greatest, but then it would be like Mozart trying to teach me piano, a waste of his time. Your meter carries one along this poem which is enhanced by the rhyme that is pleasing to the ear. Shakespeare did not always rhyme. Maybe you could teach him a thing or two. Lovely poem Teddy with a thought dear to the heart of many a poet.
