Nor would you want to be dead, briliance bled, unwritten poems that would go unread
Your demise would deprive future reader\'s eyes of many an unsung prize
Better to be alive than to take that dive so that your poems might bloom and thrive
Poems that are new always ring true and beside all this, I would miss you

A great poem of yours and a fun challenge as well

Fame must be a double-edged sword! Never to have a moment\'s peace when out and about! People expecting you to give autographs all the time etc. I actually feel sorry for those who become very famous at a young age (many pop stars), and then fade from the scene whilst still quite young. No, I couldn\'t handle fame! Just as well, because I\'ll never be famous lol!

Sylvia Plath....
a woman whose poetry I have loved and lived with for many a year.
and now, Teddy has wrritten a poem I am sure she would hold true to her heart,
as I will hold to mine.
close your eyes and listen to the applause....
very much deserved x

She was special Teddy. A huge talent. She had problems with her mental health that were exasperated by the crow she married. An excellent poet himself, but a lousy husband. She didnโ€™t get the love she deserved, became unbalanced and had a tragic ending leaving behind two young children. She leaves a decent legacy , but it could have been so much more without Ted. You have portrayed her here sympathetically. She had a streak of genius in her. Great work yourself. I am a fan of you both.

A wonderful tribute to another poet so well worded made me wonder her having chosen a crow and knowing you also have picked a crow or rather raven. Similarities here? And it ends as it begins with the closing of the eyes. Well done Teddy

Sylvia Plath was a tormented, but hugely talented poet and author. I visited her grave in Heptonstall several years ago (I live 17 miles from there). You paint a warm and compassionate picture with words here, Teddy! Sylvia certainly deserves to be remembered, and to be read!

That certainly brought Chicken Licken home, many years since I shared it with my daughters and it certainly unnerved the youngest, then the Grandchildren felt the effects. As young people today tune into the bigger louder world they often seem to wonder will the sky fall in.
I never thought it would, my parents offered me so much, but I still went my way and I thought I led my own children, but they took there own route, all I know is we can trust, love and learn through our family cohesion.

As we get older (speaking for myself) we tend to think more about our own mortality. I don\'t fear death, although that\'s an easy thing to say when we expect to live a while longer yet! A touching poem, my friend! We all hope our memory will live on long after we are gone, in the hearts of our loved ones!

Dramatic love is the best. Rich and ripe this poem like a fruit on a tree begs for the picking. It makes the juices flow and although haunting it like a siren voice calls from the grave for one to follow. A beautiful write crafted with good rhyme to give the proper feel. Brilliant!

A poignant and hard-hitting senryu! I\'m sure most people will at least know of someone who is in this same situation! I wouldn\'t wish such a fate on anyone! So sad!

Dear Teddy, I was born into a generation where girls werenโ€™t encouraged to have a career. They just married and had kids. I did and it wasnโ€™t until I was 29 with a failed marriage, I took control, got a career and became financially independent. As for Romeo and Juliet, I studied it. It didnโ€™t do much good first time round:)) I donโ€™t believe in the sky falling down. Thatโ€™s for chickens ๐Ÿ˜‚. I love your poem. It speaks to me. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’œ
