It was back when it was legal to buy baby alligators in the US. He wouldn’t eat, so I had to force feed him by taking a piece of hamburger, rolling it into a ball pry and open his mouth and ramming it down his throat with The eraser end of a pencil as if he were a musket. Oh well enough trivia. Loved your poem. It made me smile and told a good story.
