Sorry, but this is entirely about terrorism, that scourge of modern times. What demented beliefs justify this grief? Nice write though.

Thank you Teddy for remembering those people and that tragic day.
Your words: \"where desperate screams echoed into space\" brought back the horror of that day for me as I too, like everyone remembers where they were and how time just stopped. I\'ll have to repost the poem I wrote for that day. 🫂

Hateful time if you were personally involved, Teddy......
But...innocent people die in war.

\'World peace\' is absolutely right.

A most heartfelt commemoration of a trajic day. I too remember where I was as I watched in disbelief as the second plane dove into the towers A very appropriate write for the day

Teddy I feel your longing for your home. There is a feeling of loss in this poem. The pool of the dirt from which we were born, his magnetically strong. Find memories of the past drawers, as if they were the currents in the sea . “Your sea of lights But a memory “ A beautiful line. I feel your longing. Hopefully you will see home soon. Nicely written friend.

Wonderful brevity dear Teddy. Sun and rain combined gift us rainbows. What an uplifting sight they are with their arc of splendid colour. Yes, they can make an unhappy day smiley.🌹🙂

La! Poetic indeed! What on earth was so \"sweet\" about eating his owner?! And Brits yielding behind doors to the indulgence of strip poker netted them an ungodly end?!!! Poetic to the extreme.

And also a poetic lunch. Gruesome, yet comical. Alligators devouring poets, they get indigestion and burp sonnets. If we devour poets maybe we\'ll be able to burp a few lines.
Well, a very interesting tale, told nicely with tongue in cheek. - Phil A.

Imagery is my thing Teddy. It tends to be what I see first when reading poetry. Having said that, nothing wrong in setting your dreams high, even though you may catch sprats. Have a happy weekend dear poet. 🌹

Nothing like getting down to the bare bones I find it interesting that poets were playing strip poker. I guess that is because they have to bare all. As a child, I had a pet alligator. It was back when it was legal to buy baby alligators in the US. He wouldn’t eat, so I had to force feed him by taking a piece of hamburger, rolling it into a ball pry and open his mouth and ramming it down his throat with The eraser end of a pencil as if he were a musket. Oh well enough trivia. Loved your poem. It made me smile and told a good story.

Beautiful way to describe how the oak doesn’t know of his demise in the next season (as the sun is beaming through it) very lovely Teddy…

And guess what, Teddy - I had initial trouble with this, but having taken careful account of your note and contributions above, I do very much see your excellent point.

But I cannot avoid the imagery either since in season humpbacks, complete with at times much breaching make their way up and down the east coast of Australia (perhaps singing all the way....).

Teddy I love this haiku. It has far deeper meaning than the ocean the whale swims in. Not only a haiku, but a metaphor.. We all search for great things, but they are impossible to reel in and so we must settle for much smaller prey. So nicely said and so few words

Blank Sheet
sorenbarrett said:

The dark and a sad piece played in a minor key or rather should I say silently. What was once written now erased leaving only blank pages. Emptiness is similar to loneliness, and in both there is a sense of sadness. This poem conveys all these feelings to me. I hope that by now notes have found her way back onto your page ended the pianos finally tuned keys play again.
