The oblivion of true values and the inevitability of the decline of former power. A bitterly ironic work with a powerful ending. Impressive!

Oh, but this is as ghastly and macabre as everyone was begging for last month, the cruel reality of these facts beautifully rendered poetically to enchant the facts which all ere wanting do not truly care to face. Thank you very much for sharing.

A poem in muted tones. An atmosphere of despair, but there\'s something mesmerizing about these bleak images.
I especially like this line: “strained wrecks as deranged clocks...”.

The theme of inevitability. A disturbing vision of an existential journey, an inexorable flight to a grim end.

(Death has this sticky sweetnes) a great line that conveys its meaning viscerally. A poem of doom indeed.

The south
Ellen Marsell said:
A land of ancient secrets, sharp contrasts, vivid contradictions, greatness and decadence. The spiritual and the sensual, the eternal and the transient, images of sacred deserts and great empires intertwine here, each reflecting the rich history of a world slowly fading into history.
A beautiful poem!

An exotic setting with vivid images covers a metaphor that supports the structure. Choices that disolve.

A sinister theme with dark humor and creepy visions. The appeal to Baal and the ominous “end of time” give your play a dramatic touch, creating a sense of theatrical descent into the underworld. I like it!

Powerful words in a powerful poem. Some great lines as well (killer widow washing away the infant) is my favorite. Brilliant!

Historical and metaphorical the end of the vanquished and in some ways the end of an era and that type of faith. Great images of a most graphic nature. Lovely

A captured historical moment. Through the images of rain, blood and gloom you convey not only the collapse of the chivalric spirit, but also the realization of the fragility of human glory in the face of time and fate.
Great writing!

Vincent

You know Vincent well he would have liked this poem. It\'s words in swirls and vivid colors paint the life of a man misunderstood and poorly recieved. A man that found it hard to give away his art. This poem in its passion reflects his. Very nicely written with recognizable symbols thrown in along the way. it paints a compassion for him as he did for the people he painted. Brilliant!

A tribute to a great master. Despite his demons, he gained a certain immortality in art.
