Once a star falls
Doggerel Dave said:

I have to guess you live in the northern hemisphere if you can distinguish an individual star. Down south I doubt you would make it, unless astronomer when spoiled for choice...
What I find so mind bending is the thought that the actual event (disappearance) may have occurred (depending on distance) way before life on earth.

Lies I’ve believed
sorenbarrett said:

A wonderful poem that speaks of the two aspects of fire the blending of colors. It speaks of the hypnotic force of fire. It speaks of its destructive and creative properties and lastly how it calls to us all like a siren. It also may be seen as a metaphor for passion. A fave

Our words can take what’s not ours
Doggerel Dave said:

Many parrots in the world, several species, each of which have their own specific squawk. (Sometimes though it is less of a squawk, than a whisper or even something they just retain in their heads)
Beyond the question of who told told them this lie in the first place and why, Is the question of their refusal to even attempt to…..
Interesting analogy.

Our words can take what’s not ours
sorenbarrett said:

Beware what is said around anyone that can repeat it. Had a neighbor as a child that had a parrot and the people from the church could never come over because it was foul mouthed pun intended.

Tacos
sorenbarrett said:

Love Tacos and true Mexican tacos with shredded beef are the best. Many Americans put on lettuce, tomato, cheese, olives, sour cream and although good it is not needed maybe a little jalapeno.
