Very true \"A\" ~ However \"No MAN is an Island !\" If I ignore your pithy poem you still exist to write another ~ BUT ~ If I do read ~ and comment your existence is justified and it make writing the next poem (people are screaming ~ DON\'T ENCOURAGE HIM !) a little easier ! Yours BRIAN

Thanks for sharing \"A\" ~ They have the same system in Southern Island. The Priest didn\'t like e-mails because he said ~ \"they come in the night and yer \'ave ter answer \'em ~ When we \'ad the mailbox outside if yer didn\'t like the look \'o a letter (a bill perhaps ?) you left it in t\'box \'an it mysteriously disappeared !\" E_MAILS (like phone calls) are too quick and too intrusive ! Good read - love it - and still get a load of mail (or post as we are more inclined to say in the UK) delivered daily though most of it is advertising junk.

Very sweet Augustus! I look forward to the mail every afternoon. Nice tribute to the mailbox. I remember as a kid wondering why the mailman\'s steering wheel was on the passenger side. You see, I lived in a thickly-settled neighborhood, where the mailbox was set on the side of the house by the front door. Just one of those things kids think about.

Thanks \"A\" ~ EIGHT is a magic number in CHINA so maybe you are preparing fro the day when CHINA actually does take over AMERICA not just economically ~ in the POSTTRUMP era ! Stanzas with an odd number of lines never work for me QUATRAINS are the best because they are precise and you get TWO for the price of ONE OCTANE. Thanks for sharing high octane poetry ~ Your BRIAN

Some are on the top of the food chain and some are the food. Like this one Augustus. I feel bad for the smaller birds that are food for the hawks. So it goes. I feel bad for the worm, too. :)

GREAT POEM \"A\" And a great reminder the we are not immortal. Fire is a paradox because it both destroys and it purifies. This is the symbolism of CREMATION which is now more popular in the UK. In a survey 75% (3 out of 4) of adults said they would b prefer to be CREMATED rather than BURIAL. In cremation the BODY is burned (destroyed) but the SOUL is purified and released ~ AMEN. Thanks for caring BRIAN Please check my Poem ~ BRIAN.
