AH UNCLE MIKE ~ Better late than never ~ A melodius QUARTET of Rhyming Couplets to herald the incoming of SPRING ~ 21st March is the official day which is why Scotland is still experiencing BLIZZARDS ~ Snow from the West and Oval Hail from the South (WALES !).
Your cartoon reminded me of BETTJEMANS CHRISTMAS
No love that in a Family dwells
No carolling in the frosty air
Nor all the steeple shaking bells
Can with this single Truth compare
That God was Man in Palestine
And lives today in BREAD & WINE !
Blessings & Love as always

The cartoon is almost too close to reality.
The poem ; I like the imagery of the first and last lines especially.
Too much wine and it starts replacing your blood, temporarily one would hope. Nice work. - Phil A.

Reminded me of an occasion in my youth when the doctor asked for a urine sample and invited me to pee into a bottle over a running tap in his consulting room. Holding my sample up to the light he remarked \"I\'m not quite sure whether i should test this or drink it Mr Dusk\".

Thanks UNCLE MIKE : In Auckland the Weather can get quite warm in Summer (Dec Jan Feb) so they do serve Cold Drinks & ice cream as well as Coffee & Biscuits. I have been in Church in the UK for a film evening and in the interval they did come round selling ice cream for 50p ! Love the POEM : Some Elderly Scots Ladies I visit in the UK : have GLENFIDDICH in their veins which requires a zimmer for upright posture (Sounds like a Stanley Holloway Poem) Thanks for scaring : ANGELA (now 10 pm ! Saturday again tomorrow !)

A fine write and pic Michael. Did she add water to the wine?
A church was not \'raffling\' wine, but, ahem, \'accepting donations, it being a Sunday. It seems one Vicar had a stage in his Vicarage, and not for Communion purposes. Oohh!

TOFFEE AND COFFEE

I\'m sure you can get Toffee Coffee at Starbucks, without any sogginess. But if you twist your tongue and ask for Coffee Toffee they probably won\'t have any. We shy away from Toffee, but we have lots of Taffy, and you can get Caffy Taffy....Oops, now I\'m doing it. Well you sure made me smile today. Thanks - Phil A.

That\'s beyond a choke!
My coffee is either mocha beans or kenyan.... i don\'t like the bitterness of most beans. Oh yes, i once had blue mountain beans which are four times the price... it wasn\'t four times as good though.

Brilliant fun write Michael and great cartoon.
Some years ago at our Church I was on duty and arrived early and a swan was waiting by the entrance to get in. I enticed it back to the river with biscuits. I also wrote a poem about it, if I remember I\'ll put it up tomorrow.
