Oh lol, a fine write and pic Michael. I seen a couple of cats in church, but they were not the \'church cats\', so they didn\'t catch the church mice.

Brilliant fun write Michael and great cartoon.
Some years ago at our Church I was on duty and arrived early and a swan was waiting by the entrance to get in. I enticed it back to the river with biscuits. I also wrote a poem about it, if I remember I\'ll put it up tomorrow.

To the point, shouldn\'t there be \"Up\" and \"Down\" arrows. At least for the faithful.
As to the Ricin, just put it in the \"Marmite.\" No one will notice. Another good chuckle and cartoon. I think your soul may be in danger though. -Phil A.

Whatever next... congregational traffic wardens ?... coned off \'aisle works\'?... traffic Altar-ations?... One way worship?.... Prayers merging from the left?..... no parking on the vergers?

Youve put me off my breakfast bowl of ricin crispies... snap, crackle and pop-ya-clogs came to mind.

A fine write and pic Michael. Oh woe, sometimes it\'s \'There\'s no danger of not getting a seat in some churches, even if one arrives late!\'

Thanks UNCLE MIKE very highway code funny this morning ! In my parents Church (Catholic) we go up the AISLE to take Communion and always back (to our seats) down the side AISLE ! The seating allows for that !
Many things we eat contain adverse sustances such a ETHANOL in alcoholic drinks ! Also the amount of oxalic acid in RHUBARB gives one the runs etc. CONFUCIUS HE SAY : Excess kills moderation stimulates ! For the sake of your tummy : Partake of a LITTLE WINE (St Paul to Timothy !)

I had it on my muesli this morn.......

Sometimes in our Church we are directed which way to go on certain occasions - not many bother so confusion often arises.

Bingo, another winner. East vs. West. The fleeing Sun drops for the night, and the bats know what to do.We often see what is not there and as you say we\"look yet do not see.\" Human foibles abound. A richness for the poet. Got a good chuckle and an eye opener. Thanks .-Phil A.

Goodbye sun for today. We saw some of it! Bit better than being caught in a hailstorm yesterday!
Those evenings still dark there? Let there be light soon, though we force it, by losing the hour.

there is far more to this than meets the eye.. am sure there will be many ways to interpret these words.. for me tho.. I see myself standing in the shadow of a minaret, a church and a temple looking out across the rooftops as the sun sets and wondering... I have been there before and thank you for taking me there again.... Neville

You brought out the bat in me until i realised the blood had gone to my head. All that blood and as blind as a bat. No wonder i was useless at cricket.
Love that line \"the staining sun supports it\'s chin\".. my future sunsets are going to be haunted by your phrase.

A fine write and pic M. You had tips form Gold and I? as in \'archaic lines\'?!
It\'s a spiritual thing too - it\'s said some folk \'see, but don\'t perceive\'; they \'hear but don\'t understand\'.
An idiom - the outcome or result is expressed as though it were the intention.
What\'s all this from me this time of morning? You with me still? You know Waff Earl, or Earl Waff?

How\'s that evening M? I was battling a (short) hail storm on a ramble/Ram Berle. Not the best day for it, but Ram wanted to go out. I could have stayed a few minutes more in a semi-rural church that was open until worst of storm passed.
