Hmm. Charming quatrains with an interesting rhyme scheme, rendering a classic format and theme to effect so beautifully, it seems familiar somehow. Fascinating and thought-provoking with great imagery and a fitly haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing. I like it.

I have to say this poem is well said and points to many inconsistencies in belief. I love how it is formed in a similarity of religious chants. A sarcastic presentation of what many believe but as a call to carefully think about what one says they believe. A fave

This write is justified, religion is more guilty than the layman of misinterpretation of the holy books , as it is these houses of faith that the layman is told what to think, do and believe, and each and everyone is there serve there own purpose and individual agenda. Enjoyed the read

I once read of a warrior from old Japan who was tortured, and didn\'t even blink an eye. I have no way (that I know of/am capable of presently) to verify if that is a true story. Let\'s imagine it is. Then, how on earth did he do that? The only answer I can come up with is that there was no one there to feel the pain.

So much pain and some of it so random, the intentional ones have very interesting barbs… I remember quite clearly how avoidance was a must; much like countermeasure flares in fighter jets. 🙏🏻🕊

This speaks so much truth. The format I took at first as a tornado then a mushroom and finally it seemed smoke from an opium den. The message gets a here here from me as I watch so many settle into comfort and ignore what is important. A most poignant write Tristan

Someone once said to me pain reminds you, you are still alive and keeps you on your toes, comfort is a blanket that suffocates your defences and allows you to just exist not live, probably nothing to do with the write but that is what came to mind, enjoyed the read

Nary author\'s note to enlighten further, your favorite angle flourishes again with eerie implications. Beautifully rendered with a lovely bit of rhyming, gorgeous imagery, and a disturbing poignancy haunting. Thank you for sharing.

It comes for everyone big or small, young or old, rich or poor it is the great equalizer and in my mind the justice of the universe that treats everyone equally. The use of the word (I am) is in my mind a reference to what the Bible calls God\'s name. It is powerful and seems meant to shake the reader to the core. As for me I look at it as an old friend that I have seen the face of many times in the past, sometimes as a visitor come to call on friends and family and at others an me but decided to leave early with a promise to return latter. Loved the poem

The problem with what\'s safe and what is not, over here they are constantly changing there minds, you end up in a loony bin just trying to up with it all, really entertaining mind boggling read
