A poem of entropy and decay, where blackness is the only light. What a powerful thought. A poem of nothingness that is so powerful and emphatic leaving little hope. Nicely worded it is inwardly metaphoric. Usually metaphors go from a single item to a bigger concept but in this case it goes from the universe to the individual as well. The feeling of nothing.

Hi Triston, Excellent, excellent write. I read this twice and my mind absorbed each word written. And as I was saying WOW to one stanza, along came another one just as good if not better than the words I just read. Seriously, excellent write!

If it was just an entirely \'dark\' poem for the sake of it, I could say \'Ahh, so you\'ve spent one while day with KP?!\' heehee.

Dang, Tristan! By night or day, the misery finds an eloquent scribe to tell of that internal struggle none but feel, yet fewer can put into words as deliciously as yourself. La dee! Gorgeously rendered with nigh exquisite imagery, that particular delight of poets in consonance and assonance, and a gripping, haunting, familiar poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

A very powerful beginning that thunders at the reader with the power of the heavens then your trademark of falling letter and long spaces to punctuate the meaning. Well done my friend

This could be partly a Maundy Thursday theme - with hematidrosis. Jesus not arrested with chains though, but with swords and clubs.
Meanwhile - I can\'t shay that line - shaking in shinguin...... as I\'ve had a gin or threesh! lol. Do put that gin away, says Fido to me - you\'re always on it! :)

This is going really dark and deep, the rotting and festering of our rotting souls and minds, before Mr death comes to put us out of our misery, well written piece

Very dark, this poem dives deep into the depths and reveals the festering infected sore before death closes the door. Very powerfully written

You\'re downright hilarious. This prettily rendered disavowel of aught negativity is charming indeed, from excellent imagery and lively spirit, to the strengthening poignancy, it\'s too beautiful. [And methinks I\'ve realized why your work is characteristically dark-- there\'s no light when you\'re writing, one of the reasons I refuse to compose during the night, another being my desire for light as it were, and what lifts the soul higher than these murky realms below.] Thank you for sharing.

Itโ€™s difficult when we feel ways that we donโ€™t like / donโ€™t want to feel

Emotions can be difficult

I get frustrated / sad with my dissociation .. and half the time think it why should I have to feel that way

Sometimes itโ€™s hard to get ourselves to feel differently
And can become very tiring feeling these ways

A good writing

Therapists can help but even that can feel difficult sometimes

For the rawness and bravery to put on paper what is so deeply felt a fave. It speaks from the racing heart and pumping arteries of a disease that spreads as cancer uncontrolled. No advice will serve its an unenforceable crime of the nerve. Medications may dull but not cure this malignant invader. Well done my friend peace be with you.

On Tax Day no less, La dee! What a lament. If I\'d not chanced to read an article on some residential damages oddly incurred Palm Sunday, it might seem more esoteric. Funny, I\'ll bet you weren\'t signifying that, however. Mournful and ghastly, macabre as your seeming preference, rendered to effect with excellent imagery and beautifully to boot, its poignancy haunts the day with a clinging persistence. Thank you for sharing.
