BRIAN HERE ~ Good Morning Uncle Andy thanks for the Video ! We love the CLARINET an instrument which lifts the woodwind section in an Orchestra ~ AND ~ as a Liquorish Stick is an essential in any Trad Jazz sextet ! Its musical range is very direct on the ear. My Dads MANTRA is *Music Maketh Man* he is an amateur Concert Pianist & Church Organist from a Teenager ! Some of my Cousins studied Classical Music and when we communicated by e-mail and CD I did warn them that the World of Music is infnite. When we get married in April ~ Angela & I will have over 400 CDS between us with few duplicates. Before we start our Family our Guest Bedroom will double as a Music Room ! All my CDS are numbered - classified and stored on bespoke shelves. I now have ALEXA in the Kitchen and she is a great Musical Reservoir. Thanks for the POEM ~ there is a 100 times more items of NEW RECORDED MUSIC produced each week MONTH than we could possibly listen too ! Angela subscribes to the Classic FM (her fave in car radio station !) Magazine which increases her stack (also neatly arranged and catalogued !) of CDS. Music is a Passions of both of US ~ AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS
Love BRIAN & ANGELA

A fine write Gold. Yes, and so many hymns/choruses/songs I don\'t know the tunes and/or words too.
It don\'t help if the choir just sings merrily on, and no-one in the congregation knows the hymn. Are they teasing us?
How\'s your repertoire?!

Bon apres midi - Notre Oncle Andy ! I hope youre smiling - we sure are after watching the video ! It takes more than a virtuoso to parody Mozart - and make it sound funny - it takes a CLOWN ! Alas (with the passing of Sir Ken Dodd) they are a bit thinner on the ground and considered non-PC ! I remember when we went to the Circus (in the last Century !) there were always Musical Clowns ! Virtuosity plus Humour rare combination - One recalls Victor Borg & Les Dawson etc. The SCOUSE MANTRA is : Laffter can unfurrow a brow - invert a frown - and (for a short while at least) banish all your cares & woes - Some folk say the same about CROQUET - AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOURS
Joyces Star will be Happy to look down & see You Smiling
and (what is even better !) encouraging us to smile with You !

Good write Gold. Not being a grump, but it said on telly: \'New comedy coming\', then showed hideously unfunny trailers. I ranted at the telly and replied \'Where? Laugh? I never even started!\'. Some good comedy shows in 1970\'s/80\'s though.

BRIAN HERE ~ Good afternoon UNCLE ANDY ~ just finished teaching and Im in a weekend mood ! Thanks for the VIDEO ~ any song from LES MISS is a hit with us ! Awesome BOOK ~ FILM and best as a STAGE MUSICAL where one can really feel the passion GREAT SONGS !
What is it about CROQUET ? I can easily see how it is both cathartic & addictive ! We always play once a month on a Saturday (when its fine !) after the Mens Breakfast (another form of COMMUNION !). It seems to me that it is one of those games like Chess ~ Solo Whist ~ Dominoes & Carpet Bowls etc which are AGE NEUTRAL and the Nonagenarians can play as good (if not better ?) that the Twentysomethings and Ladies can compete equally with Men ~ AMEN. Such games are very very addictive. We are so so pleased you are begining to find some Peace & Contentment in your life ~ AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

It reads to me as if the stress of the recent years is finally lifted and this together with your assured knowledge that you are genuinely at ease with your commitment to honour the past has brought you peace.

Sometimes I feel the same, if not going to some churches where there are \'entanglements\' of rules and regulations, etc. (Well, don\'t go to those sort of churches then, Orchi!).
Meanwhile - folk feel absolute panic. but why. Cos I say \'I\'m gonna sing!\' heehee.

What can i say? You know i wholeheartedly agree with your point of view.
The sermon you recount here points to the patronising and narrow minded oratory which so often comes from the long established religions. Similar can be seen in the poetry of certain individuals on MPS who appear to have deemed it their privilege to tell all how we should be living and worshiping.

BRIAN HERE ~ Good Morning Uncle ANDY ! First let me thank you for showcasing PATSY KLINE ~ in my opinion *The best Female Country Voice ever* and CRAZY the best female Country Song ~ sadly killed in a Plane Crash in 1963 ~ just 30 and at the zenith of her career. When I give talks (to Seniors) on *Country Ladies* CRAZY always makes me cry ~ she is just BEAUTIFUL ~ RIP.
As to the POEM ~ You know Angela & I are committed Christians and we have had to accept the when we pray for loved ones ~ sometimes GOD says NO and receives them into the Spiriual Dimension. However we havn*t had to walk in your shoes facing the Dementia & finally the Demise of your Beloved Joyce. We sympathise and you will always be on our Prayer List until you are reunited with your Beloved in the Spirit World ~ AMEN

Blessing & Peace to You & Yours

I see what you mean Gold. I may do the same if I was in your situation.
We may think some hymns seem potty, such as:
\'Make me a captive Lord
And then I shall be free\'
and it continues along those lines.
Yet it\'s only restrictions to self, I feel - the \'bad\' parts of us. Not that we have to be all miserable and caught up in \'religious rules\'.
A light still shines for you I believe. Otherwise you would abandon church and other Christians, and indeed Christ, altogether. :)

Angela here - Just off to Work - first Clinic 10am ! Thanks for sharing - Love SQ they have vitalised me for the Morning ! DOWN DOWN DEEPER & DOWN ~ AGAIN ~ AGAIN ~ DEEPER & DOWN is a good lyric to masage to ! I might ask ALEXA to play it while I have my First Client (A Rugby Player !) on the Table (visulise it !).
Your poem does hilite a 21st C dilemma which our GParents never had - How to be in two places @ once ! In your mind CROQUET (a sign of Old Age ?) & RUGBY are both sacred ! However your dilemma is solved by the Space Time continuum ! Einstein tells me that *It vould be impossible to be videoing ze Croquet (in real time) while simultaneously vatching ze Rugby* So you have no option ! Speil ze Croquet und vatch ze Rugby auf TV - OK.
However ACHTUNG ! Ich habe deiner MOBILENOMMER ! If you dont add a comment to *FIVE SENSES* Ich vill du gefone immediatzung after ZE MATCH ~ OK !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
