Tis like the police men - they all seem too young to be out on the beat said my elderly neighbour a few years ago - now they begin to look like that to me..........

Hi Andy,

I see the young ones in my family all growing up and I consider myself lucky that I’m not, 😉
Nice work.

Am I Just Getting Old?
Doggerel Dave said:

You could call this the three ages of man, I suppose…
In the days of my youth we were all fumbling about , attempting to find our way through that terrible time of unfulfilled lust.
In middle age, if I attempted conversation with a young woman more than twenty years my junior, I could be styled as a dirty old man.
Today, in my senior years, young women, perceiving me as harmless, are happy to chat….and I enjoy that very much….
Thanks for the write, Andy.

Am I Just Getting Old?
L. B. Mek said:

erm, age is but a number my friend
when we were young
we couldn\'t wait to get older, remember?
no, dear poet
I don\'t think it the fact that you getting \'older\'
its just that humanity
as always, comes in all shapes and sizes
but our fear of rejection, denotes
we herd ourselves into groups
that reflect our sense of self
and then stay, in those groups..
but its good to branch out, sometimes
people watch from atop a cafe
at a shopping centre or park
and insure our eyes never forget
the wondrous diversity: of human nature...

Andy,

These beautiful words you’ve penned, “May humanity be our race. May love be our religion.”, are truly comforting. I enjoyed listening to the musical piece.
Thank you for sharing.

A very moving tribute dear Andy to your Father who gave you the wonderful love of music - - -- and what an example of it you have chosen for us to here - I have always loved the piano version of Clair de Lune.

You have chosen one of my absolute favourite pieces of music today.

Indeed you are a lucky man to have had such a wonderful father. I read on MPS of several who have not been so fortuneate and strive within their poetry to come to terms with their place in the world and society around them.
Thank goodness they have found poetry and its self healing properties.
